Great location!

Love Mariners Cay

I have stayed approximately five times at Mariners Cay and always hd a wonderful time. The location is the best! The pool is wonderful and always clean and sparkly. Staff responds quickly to any needs I happen to have, Will return again.

Great location but...

Kitchen/baths need serious updates, as does the furniture overall. Amenities at Mariners Cay are great but would probably choose a different condo next time.

Pictures are deceiving.

House is older and needs some TLC. Floors, bed, sheet super clean; everything else could use a little attention. Drains in showers stopped up. Stucko holes in wall. Paint peeling. Shower curtain rods rusty. Shower heads scrummy. Just to list a few things.

Loved this condo!

This condo was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was stocked very well, met all our needs. It was also very spacious for the 3 of us. I loved waking up every morning to the sail boats on the sound. Only draw back for me is this was a,sisters trip and my sister's are in their 70's so the stairs to the unit were tuff on them, bringing up luggage, etc. Otherwise a wonderful stay.

Great Stay

Rented this for the teens to have a place to stay and a pool for myself! Loved the view from the porch of the river. Short walk to beach, maybe 10 minutes, but it was way too hot last week! We drove over and found street parking. I recommended getting away from the pier! Beach is narrow near pier and small at high tide. Not to mention PACKED! Condo was clean and sufficiently stocked. My favorite part was the photograph art at the top of the stairs.

Beautiful Marsh View

Loved the marsh view but could not access from the back porch/deck as it is totally glassed in. We loved the beds - firm and supportive. Do not rent if you have trouble with steps - 2 flights to get into the condo and then steps to the bedroom.

It's in an HOA with ridiculous rules.

Place was very expensive, nightly price wasn't bad but management fees more than doubled the overall price for a weekend stay. On top of that, there's a $2000.... yes two thousand dollar fine for any noise complaint and similar fines for everything from parking in the wrong spot to having someone not in the "lease" in the unit. Unit was nice, definitely an older apartment with a lot of wear and tear on it but fairly clean. The whole thing reeked of marijuana though and on our second night, the door quit working and locked us out for an hour while someone came to let us in (it's a common problem according to the maintenance guy). Overall, I expect better for this price range. It doesn't need to be the Ritz but it shouldn't be so troublesome.

Great size condo for a family of 4 with teenage boys

I LOVED that it had a half bath downstairs. This was so helpful to just run in after being out for the day swimming or during intermission on our movie nights.

Was just what we wanted!

Was nicely appointed, felt like a good beach condo without being very fancy so comfortable. Nice and roomy, we were just 2 of us but if we'd had a kid or two it would have been comfortable. Super convenient to the beach BUT on the other side of the river so you don't have to sit in ALL the beach traffic coming from the city. We'd stay here again, great community, location and condo itself.

Nice little condo on the Folly River a reasonable walk into the wonderful beach town of Folly beach, with good beaches, restaurants gift shops, I’ll be back !

Poorly maintained

Location is great...kitchen is stocked with basics...property is very poorly maintained! Communication with local people was good, had problems twice with the lock but someone helped quickly. It was nice that some paper products were supplied
