Despite being close to the city of Tours, the campground was in a quiet setting (during the day!) and easy to get in and out. The weird part started during our check-in process. We were presented with a long list of everything that was in the mobile home and basically had to sign off that it was indeed there and in specified quantities (six forks, six knives, etc.). "We stopped for one night, the hotel was fine but quite basic, our room was very small and a little dated, plus the bed quite hard. However, all the staff were very friendly and despite having little English (and us having little French) we warmly welcomed. Our room and the public areas were very clean and despite what other reviews have said, the area felt quite safe. The hotel is well located, a short walk to restaurants and bars, very near the railway station but also quiet at night."
