I have been staying at Das Waldhaus over the past seven years and the quality of my visit has never lessened. A good price, a clean & comfortable hotel and a warm & friendly reception. The bonus is the excellent breakfast!

Great Place To Stay in the Black Forest!

An excellent place to stay in Forbach and the Schwarzwald! My family had such an awesome stay - the owners are awesome people and made our stay very memorable. They were very helpful with suggestions in the area and for helping with making dinner reservations. The breakfast is one of the best. We will definitely be back!

Would recommend - excellent

Excellent stay, friendly owners and top notch location next to the river. Free on site parking (about 5 or 6 spaces). Also ate at the restaurant, which was also very good.

Fantastic Hotel

Staff were super helpful and accommodating. Room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good with lots of hot and cold options, including chia seeds, nuts and other toppings for yogurt. Would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel. Nice location, spacious room with nice balcony overlooking the river. The staff was very helpful. There is a good selection of drinks available in a self-serve fridge. The breakfast was excellent. The only disappointment was dinner. There didn't seem to be any good restaurant options nearby (both places had poor reviews) and the hotel itself only had a small selection of choices on their Imbiss menu. We had turkey schnitzel with fries and some cake for dessert and it was okay, but we had been hoping for a better dinner option.

Incredible hotel experience

Best hotel experience I ever had. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. The terrace by the river is incredible, a moment of peace and quiet under the stars in the night. Breakfast was really good as well.

Solo Trip to the Black Forest

Everything about the stay was great: Personal, friendly service from the owner, a comfortable and quiet room, and an extensive breakfast buffet. There are also a couple of outdoor seating areas facing the river and plenty of beer and wine available for purchase from the mini-bar. Glad I found this hidden gem.

Hotelli oli ensivaikutelmaltaan tosi kiva. Huoneissa vessat remontoitu ja muutenkin siistiä. Ruokaa ei saanut 18:30 jälkeen mutta ohjattiin naapuriin. Viereinen silta remontissa, joka pieni pettymys kun hotellin valinta oli osittain sen johdosta. Suurin pettymys oli, että vessassa oli yöllä torakka ja pieniä ötököitä (punkkeja?) lattiat täynnä. Toisesta meillä aamulla käsi puremajälkiä täynnä. Ei siis mentäisi uudestaan tämän torakan näkemisen jälkeen.

Familiar and designed hotel.

Warm welcoming and service at check in/out. Good and diverse breakfast. Very service minded and familiar atmosphere at the hotel. Relaxing and designed interiors. Kids are still talking about the visit and want to go back again. We really recommend the hotel.
