"What a contrast to my last hotel (Balmoral Lodge, Southport ). St Michael's was everything I want from a B&B and more. Beautiful vintage furniture, period features, immaculately clean, lovely owner, great atmosphere. Loved it and the presence of a coffee machine, a fridge and a balcony (looking over the garden) made this a great experience. . Nethybridge Hotel

8/10 Good

"Great service from the moment we stepped into the lobby. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff that make the best of a building that has seen better days. Our room was clean, spacious and with a comfortable bed. Coffee and tea making facilities were in good working order and with plenty of good quality supplies of teabags, coffee sachets and sugar. When we needed more milk, we were given a good handful of pods, no questions asked. The dinner was very good, the dining room clean and the service attentive and pleasant. I hope that whoever runs this hotel manages to keep those levels of service while renovating and updating the building which is now well overdue. We would repeat the experience if we needed accommodation in that area again."

Holiday Inn Express Inverness by IHG

8/10 Good

"I have stayed here before numerous times over the last 20 years. The rooms and punkic spaces are always clean. The rooms arent big but thats not a problem. Parking is good and plenty of it, the staff were really helpful and pleasant at all times. The breakfast in the morning was good, just what you would expect from a hotel buffet breakfast. The only issue I have are the mattresses in the rooms, wow..... really are the worst I have ever slept on in a hotel. I dont remember them ever been that bad. They were so firm and hard, I didnt get a good sleep. But other than that....I had a good stay and enjoyed how clean it was."
