Once upon a time the sand was coated in brightly colored bits of sea glass, and social media is full of photos that make it look as if the sand still looks that way, but that isn't the case. Over the years the public has raided the beach of much of its glass. Now at first look, some might say it looks like any other ordinary beach. Yes you can still find glass here, but you have to look for it, and most of colored glass is long gone. It all makes for a fun little treasure hunt however! What a great location - perfect for our needs. The staff was friendly, the room comfortable and we loved being so close to the ocean, able to walk out to walking paths that head right up to the cliffs above and down to the water's edge.

Room was clean but whatever cleaner they used smelled SO strong like bleach or industrial cleaner that our noses were burning all night. And I'm not typically sensitive to cleaners but wow - a bit of an overload. Nice access to beach trail behind our room. Room was spacious. FYI it has the layout where the sink is in the main sleeping part of the room - not in the bathroom. Not ideal when traveling with others that don't all wake at the same time. Can't brush your teeth or wash up without waking the room.

Please stay here!! The check in was lovely, friendly and comfortable. I wasn’t expecting much from the outside, but the room was excellent! Well thought out amenities: black wash cloths for makeup, a box fan, robes, very comfy bed…..I would absolutely stay here again.

Such a beautiful place; the staff and business clearly care about the wellbeing of both guests and the property itself. From the way the staff upkeep cleanliness, to the way the front desk communicates with you, to the plant life on the property thriving. We had a wonderful stay at this lodge! The front desk staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which immediately made us feel comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to an owner’s suite, which made our stay even more special. The room had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location was super close to everything we wanted to do. There is also a path to the beach directly in front of the property, offering absolutely amazing views, which was a huge highlight of our stay. Overall, we had a really great time and truly enjoyed our experience. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
