"Unique stay at old drugstore converted to a hotel. Has lots of common area we enjoyed including games even Foos-ball and ping pong. Old and cluttered with creaking floors but interesting to us. We enjoyed our stay."

"The Mountainside Inn was a pleasant surprise on our journey. This Inn appears to have been a single family home, that has been converted to be an Inn. There is a Common Room for relaxing, and a Common Kitchen for coffee and refrigerator use. Our room, #5, was at the end of the hall, and was very comfortable. The bed was a touch too soft for our tastes, but the bed linens were nice! The bathroom was large enough for two people to use at the same time, and the soap & shampoo were of a good quality. The checkin/checkout procedure was done via texting, with the front door code being given before we arrived. The key for the room was in the unlocked room, and for checkout, the instructions were to leave the key and text that we were gone. Very easy! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"

"With a family member visiting from the UK, we were looking for a spot from which to explore the wide open spaces of the Davis Mountains. This home was just the place. Amazing views from the porch were great for those not looking for so much activity, and the home is conveniently located for those wanting to check out the Davis Mtns State Park, McDonald Observatory, Fort Davis, or the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute. The kitchen was thoughtfully supplied and made cooking for 4 for the visit easy. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Our family thoroughly enjoyed it!"

"We wanted to be out of the crowds yet near enough to Big Bend, Marfa, and surrounding areas. We found a perfect apartment-style hideaway on Davis Mountain. Big Bend was an easy 2-hour drive away, through magnificent country. Easy to find, the cottage was clean and good order. There was coffee, tea, pots and pans for cooking if we desired. 2 huge muffins greeted our arrival and were the perfect start to the next day's journey to Big Bend. The bed was comfortable; the bathroom, spacious and clean, with a walk-in shower. We will look forward to going back to take in more of the sites we missed this time around. It is an ideal location -- easy to get to and comfortably quiet. The hosts checked on us when we arrived and left us alone with their phone #s "just in case." We highly recommend!!!"
