Disappointment and Joy
There is not room to submit complete review. I would be more than glad to share the total review that I created. Main concern is that we were never told about the construction that blocked the entire view for most of the time that we were there. When we saw it upon arrival, we figured we would just make do, as we were told that it would be moved, but as time went on, it pretty much stayed the same. I have spoken to an attorney. This could be construed as false advertising. There were 13 days that the total view was blocked. It was dangerous to walk to the dock. I believe that we should be reimbursed the 7 days that we had no view as advertised. I had concerns about cleanliness. I had concerns about safety. The wifi wiring outside was dangerous and we left bloodstains on the cement where my husband caught his foot in it. A light fell out of the kitchen ceiling. It was reinserted by the former resort manager. Only 2 of those lights worked. I have been told that the wiring has just been brought up to code, but that did not seem to be the case. We did chip the stove and reported it immediately. Scott (Unit Manager) inspected it and found it to be minor, said there was nothing further we needed to do. He was shocked we were there. He did not know the property had been rented. The location is gorgeous. I simply feel that we should have been told about the construction. I do have a detailed write up regarding my concerns with pictures to accompany each concern.
