“This was a perfect place to have our family gather! Meal preparation was easy in the well organized and stocked kitchen. The extra tables and chairs in the garage made a great dining hall. The weather was extremely hot, so the pool offered wonderful relief and was very fun. We would highly recommend this lovely home!”

“Our first impression of this property was that it was extremely clean. It was well-appointed and complete, from the kitchen, entertainment area, and clean, comfortable beds — fabulous night’s sleep. The beds and all linens were first rate. We appreciated the makeup mirror and all of the other extra touches in the bathroom. “Private and very clean location. King bed was SOOO comfortable to relax and sleep in. Roomy bathroom. Just like staying in a fancy hotel. If was staying longer would have preferred more than a mini fridge. Since no kitchen we made due with doing dishes in shower & sink with a small wash tub. Possibly a small utility sink in laundry storage room would be beneficial. Brought an electric griddle to make our food a few times. Otherwise a perfect location with nice views on both of the spacious……

“We had a wonderful anniversary trip to Nauvoo. The historic and quaint Mix House added some period charm to our stay. While the house retains much of its 19th century charm, it has the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing stay. It may have been the off season, but food and meal choices were limited in Nauvoo itself. We were grateful for the items we ordered from The Apron Bake Shoppe.”

“Such a great place to stay. The location was perfect and size was great. The only thing that was hard was that there was only one bathroom. We knew about that before, so it wasnt a surprise. It would just make the stay a little easier. Overall the stay was awesome and we would easily stay again.”

“This property is amazing. Rural and quiet. There were six of us and we stayed very comfortably. The beds were comfortable. The blackout curtains were much appreciated! Fans were also in the house to help with airflow. One bathroom could be challenging if you had a lot of people staying at the house, but it was just fine for us. Fireflies are EVERYWHERE at dusk!
