Great place to stay. However, there are no hooks on the bedroom walls to hang your clothes. Also, no hooks on the walls out near the hot tub. Both areas would be much nicer if people could actually hang their clothes and towels up. Also, small decorative lights around the back porch don’t work. This is our second time staying at this cabin and the decorative lights didn’t work the first stay either. Otherwise, a very nice place to stay.

Since the new owner has taken over the cabins here they were updated to be a little more modern than I was expecting. While everything looked great , it was more of a city feel with the digital picture frame and sides grass. The mattress is still hard but it was when we stayed before several times. All this is my opinion so someone else may like all this. The late check out fee of 100 for 2 extra hours is way too expensive! The previous owner didn’t charge that much for more time. Overall it was ok.

The location. The cabin was located behind closed gates, we felt very safe and secure. Dawn was available anytime I needed anything. We were close to Desoto State Park, Desoto Falls and Little River Canyon Falls, highly recommend seeing and spending time at each.

We loved our weekend getaway at the Bird House. It was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and private. We had everything we needed! One morning, we sat on the back patio and watched a deer eating not even 20 feet away. The bath towels are AMAZING, and my husband loved the fan above the bed. There isnt one negative thing I can say about this cabin.
