Short stay
Although we were happy with our experience the ensuite bedroom was the only private space. Although the common areas were nice I'm not sure I would stay for more than a couple of days as it was not possible to spread out and relax. Perhaps air b and b would be a better description. Having said this, the property was clean and comfortable for our brief stay.

Jecuzzi tub was nice, bedroom smaller, lovely sitting area quite nice. Very close to Ballpark. Great parking, a few breakfast items. Bed very comfy. Needs some TLC

OK but expensive
It is clean but expensive compared to other lodging in the area. I could stay at the Marriott, Hampton, or Hyatt cheaper on the same dates. The bedding smelled so strong of scented laundry products that I could not sleep in the bed. Probably not a problem for most people but I am very sensitive.

Fort Wayne gem
We loved this property!!! We were in town for a concert. Mike was really helpful before we booked. We were looking for something close to the concert venue and he was able to give us directions along with the proximity to venue. There were other people staying at the time and if we had not seen them coming and going we would have thought we had the house to ourselves. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the jacuzzi tub was the cherry on top!

All was good
The property was clean me and my wife really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub and bed was comfy also. Seemed to be about 5-10 min drive to everything . Yea it was perfect for us and cheaper then a hotel with a jacuzzi in room. Only difference is it was way smaller then a hotel but I’d perfer there then hotel. To save money.

The room was great and was clean.
Everything was as described. The room was clean and very nice. The only issues we had was traffic noise, and the prior rental individuals left something under bed which we found before we left. We did throw it away.

Clean and cozy
Was a nice stay for a quick getaway. It is not huge but we were not looking for or expecting that. Mike responded quickly to a request and was very good communicating. And no there was no breakfast, but we read the description so we weren't expecting one!

Breakfast not included
This was a nice place to stay but breakfast was not included. I should have read the details and other reviews before booking because this was a surprise to me. I guess I just assumed that since it said it was a bed and breakfast that a hot breakfast would be included. The house we stayed in didn't even have a kitchen as far as I could tell, unless it was upstairs potentially? They did have a few packs of muffins, danish, cinnamon rolls, a bowl of apples, etc. out and a Keurig machine for coffee, so that must qualify as their idea of "breakfast". I just guess when I think of a B & B I think about a hot breakfast prepared fresh that morning. At least that is how all the other B & B's I have ever stayed at have done breakfast. It was a very nice place to stay just wish I would have read the fine print about no hot breakfast.

Hi Brady, thank you for staying with us. As you noted, we are a Guest House. We are not a Bed and Breakfast. No where on the booking site, nor in any of the information sent out do we refer to ourselves as a Bed and Breakfast. The property operated as a Bed and Breakfast years ago under different ownership. As a complementary give away to our guests, we generally have prepackaged pastries, fruit, coffee and treats and snacks laid out. There is no expectation that anything is provided, but we believe it is a nice touch. It is a shame that you placed your own incorrect assumptions and expectations on us. It would have been nice to be fairly reviewed on what we are, not what you wish we were. However, this review should absolutely help guests understand us better going forward, and we thank you for that.

Easy for a short trip
Nice and quaint Building and neighborhood were quite loud (slamming doors, people chatting outside our door, fireworks from the ballpark) Perfect if you want a central location for a night. Spa tub was very nice Lots of rest at walkable from here Good off-street parking

Bass House stay
This elegantly-furnished home is close to downtown on a busy street but traffic noise is no problem. Several fast-food restaurants are 1 or 2 blocks away, providing ample choices for a simple breakfast or other meals. The keypad system is quite efficient, a great idea. I should point out that one evening (Sunday or Monday) the entrance door was not shut and locked. As I pressed my palm against the screen, the door opened! Possibly a larger-font reminder on the inside of the door about pulling it shut would be appropriate. There were no problems resulting from this security lapse that I am aware of.

Lovely Place
The property was well cared for and the rooms were very comfortable. Parking was included and so convenient--it was just a short and architecturally interesting walk to the downtown. All communication with the owners was quick and clear. Great overall! I will stay here again if I am in town.

Conveniently located
The house is located very close to the Allen County Public Library. We came to Fort Wayne to access the genealogical resources there. While we were there we also were able to walk to a lot of attractions and restaurants in the downtown area.
