Fantastic location

House was better than described, and the location was phenomenal. Just minutes to everything in town, but also gave the feeling of being tucked away in the middle of the Nantahala national forest. We hope to come back and stay here again in the future.

Beautiful Getaway

Enjoyed a week with the family surrounded by the mountains of North Carolina. Franklin has always been a special place for our family to visit and really enjoyed our stay at Bartram Trail Acres Chalet. Only 5 minutes from town which was very convienent and an hour or less for activites for the family to enjoy. Would love to come back for another visit in the future.

Cold, but fun!!! We enjoyed each other for our Christmas

We love being together for holiday and not ever leaving the cabin. Well, except hike to waterfalls. Cookies, Fudge, etc.; Home was very, very nice and all the guys had a blast watching football!! Go Falcons.

Perfect Thanksgiving Stay

Gorgeous property with so much room to spread out. Great kitchen space with everything you need to make a big meal. Property was gorgeous and literally right next to the Wallace Branch trailhead. The hike to the waterfall was quick - gorgeous views of you keep climbing the mountain! Fire pit was a favorite and plenty of chairs (8) for the group. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were really nice with great water pressure. No issues at all with the WiFi. Loved our time there and would definitely stay again.

Weekend Wedding in Franklin

My family and I headed to Franklin for a long weekend with a large group (four families) ranging in age from 2-70. The cabin had ample space for everyone to gather together for meals ad well as their own space for sleeping. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and fully stocked with all we needed. Close to hiking trails and a waterfall everyone was able to walk to. Beautiful view from front porch and large yard for the children to explore!

Girls Getaway

We enjoyed visiting Highlands and the waterfalls. The people are very welcoming. The house was perfect for our needs. The trail beside the house was beautiful. The internet is slow but we are right beside Natanhala. I would love to come back next year.

Hidden Gem

This is such a beautiful place with amazing views of a lush , well maintained yard. The creek running through the property is so relaxing to sit by with a good book. And the waterfall near the property is a added bonus. Will be back!!

Surprise Birthday for Mom

Wonderful home/cabin. Plenty of room for everyone, 7 of us. Beds were comfy, a big win. Kitchen was a great gathering spot. We went hiking and just spent time together at the cabin. This may become an annual trip. Recommend a few more chairs at the fire pit, and include wood for visitors.

Great location. Kitchen well stocked. Lots of gathering areas for large families. The bedroom over the garage could be improved for sleeping by installing at least a queen size ned. Beds need upgrades.Week was very peaceful, weather was wonderful, Would recommend highly.

Wonderful rental

The property was just beautiful, plenty of trees, a brook and a right near the trail with a waterfall. The house was just beautiful. Plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was fully equipped. The appliances were new and upscale. The beds were very comfortable. We totally enjoyed our stay.

Our Family Serene Get Away

We all arrived at 40 Cricket Lane at different times of the day and all commented on how perfect the house was for our family to come together for a a few days of good food, adventure and lots of laugher. The place met our expectations. So room, so clean and so mountain house feeling. The property is beautiful and just as described on VRBO. Hope you love your stay as much as we did.

Nice house for family or group

The house was comfortable, well equipped and clean. The location should be desirable for families and others who want to spend time together. Lots of room outside for kids to play, etc. The porch was a nice place to enjoy the mountain mornings and evenings. Travel to other attractions might take a few minutes but the location was very convenient for our needs.

Slice of Heaven

Amazing property with room for large family to spread out. Creek for kids and adults alike to hunt for treasures and gems. My kids loved making smores around the fire pit. Teenagers loved the little loft above the carport. While the property is close enough to the town, you could hear a pin drop sitting out on the back porch. Took me back to my childhood in the Appalachian mountains of Pennsylvania.

Girls weekend

We had a wonderful girls weekend with plenty of room! We went to Bryson City for the train ride and spent the day in Dillsboro shopping and dinner. The house is spacious for everyone to spread out and it's stocked with everything you could possibly need! The house was spotless and very comfortable. Beds and bathrooms were great! Waterfall hike was close to house and not all that difficult for us beginners. Location of house was close to town and major highways. You wont find a better home in the area to visit! Great memories were made and we appreciate the owners sharing their beautiful home!

Perfect location

We were looking for a cabin in the woods not too far from a city but not too close, and where our dogs could roam and enjoy themselves and we could relax and take a stroll in the forest with them and friends. This house is perfectly located for all of this. The house is wonderful. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Lighting is bright. Bathrooms have been remodeled and super clean. The yard is large, with plenty of room to spread your wings and relax. We wish we could have stayed longer. The town of Franklin is up and coming and has many things to see and do.

Beautiful Home

***House was so clean and lovely ! Great porch.*** -We loved being at the Bartram trail head. A well maintained trail that apparently goes for 18 miles to the Wayah Bald fire tower. We just went 2 miles to a nice overlook -Easy drive into Franklin and beyond. - Well stocked kitchen with exception of food storage for leftovers, spices and cereal bowls BUT it is a vacation home - Indoor fireplace did not work during our stay, manager suggested using the outdoor fire pit -Cute studio over the garage- my teen loved it. We would recommend this home . -

Wonderful place

Had a little difficulty finding the property due to my gps, but instead of the address if you type "batrum trail, Wallace branch". It will lead you right next to it. You don't want to miss this property. Very spacious and comfortable inside and tons of room with a big yard and a big fire pit to enjoy the mountains. The trail beside made it so easy to go on hikes and if the kids were older we could have hiked more of the trail, but it was super easy and enjoyable to get to the waterfall with a 3 yr. Had a great fall break and with seeing tons of leaves. A beautiful drive to highland nc with stopping at waterfalls, downtown Franklin is so sweet and had a great lunch, and the gem mining was very entertaining
