This is my second time staying here. This time I took my elderly parents (Mom has late stage dementia and Dad has heart and other heath issues). We enjoyed the peace and tranquility so much that we added an extra night to our stay! The house is amazing too!! Everything you need for a relaxing get away.

Quiet spot on a beautiful river
Property was as described. Host was able to be contacted for any issues that arose. The hosts also graciously provide k-cup coffee and kindling for the riverside fire pit. The area is nicely remote enough to be quiet but close enough that a 20 min ride gets you most anything you’d need. One word of advice is that if you plan on a having a fire over a few nights time then it might be better to bring your own wood or ask the host for a contact for wood delivery. You will spend a small fortune if you just buy bundles from the nearby gas station. All in all great place to stay, especially if you’re like my family and just want to read while listening to the water.

Perfect Vacation Spot!
The cabin was delightful in all respects - accommodations, cleanliness, location, and overall comfort. The host's communication was timely and professional. The river was so relaxing. You are "away" from the hustle and bustle yet close to interesting towns with shops and restaurants. While there, we visited Bryson City, Stecoah, Highlands, Cherokee, Waynesville, & Franklin, NC; Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, TN; and Helen & Dillard, GA. We will absolutely be back!

Love this Property!! Everything was perfect!! The cabin is gorgeous and has everything you need for a relaxing visit. The large deck overlooking the river was my favorite part and that's where the majority of our time was spent!!

Sound of the River, Sight of the Birds
Absolutely wonderful stay for Thanksgiving through Sunday. The pictures and description on the site are 100% accurate. The kitchen is very well equipped for everyday use. The decor is tasteful, the fireplace is awesome, and the sound of the river-wow.....everything is what a VRBO should be. The only issue we encountered is the stairs UP. This trip was a 90th birthday gift for my mom and she had difficulty navigating the stairs. Once she got up the stairs all was well as we were cabin bound intentionally. I think the requirement of using stairs to access the property should be mentioned. In fact, due to potential disabilities by all VRBO guests, the issue of stairs should be spelled out in all VRBO listings. Again,this is not a complaint, just a real-life comment. I am a avid birder and was fortunate enough to catch sight of about a dozen female common mergansers rafting upstream. (These are rare in NC/SC so quite a find.) I would stay here again without a doubt!
