Sitting on 2 acres just on the outskirts of Fredericksburg City limits, you will enjoy unrivaled privacy and outdoor space while still being ONLY 1.5 Miles (4-Minute drive) from the center of Main Street and a short drive to wineries. Featuring 4 beds and 3 baths, it's perfect for families, girls' weekends, or guys' getaways – you will find the Ranchito has un poco de todo!
The space
Our Story

The Ranchito Retreat is an original log cabin with a Mexican twist. Inspired by our Abuelos’ ranch in Mexico that we visited often when we were kids, The Ranchito is a tribute to the time and memories made there with our familia. We hope you enjoy the Mexican motifs throughout the property that are sure to spark nostalgia for anyone exposed to the Tejano culture here in Texas.

Pool-House: Large party barn that opens up to the outdoors, has a 70-inch flat-screen TV, indoor/outdoor bar with outdoor TV, full fridge, loft area with extra bed that could potentially sleep another 2 guests, and is equipped with AC
Outdoors: Yard games galore including bocce court, putting green, kids’ playground, and pool volleyball
2 bikes included for exploring the charming
Parking: Ample parking for all guests
RV Hookup - we have an RV hookup available for an additional nightly fee if you'd like to bring one with you to accommodate more guests (please message once booked for details)


It’s All in the Details!
Inside the main house, the Ranchito is a roomy, 2600+ sq ft. When you walk in, you are welcomed by the tall, vaulted ceilings, untouched original log-cabin wood walls, the floating stairs, and eye-catching catwalk that leads to the two upstairs bedrooms.

Downstairs features a large open-concept space with plenty of seating for large groups in the living and sitting rooms, as well as the dining area. There is also a workspace desk and chair tucked under the stairs for those having to work before they play. The kitchen is highlighted by bold, black patina porcelain counters and backsplash with a large waterfall peninsula. Perfect to sit at in the morning and enjoy your cafecito while you look for deer and wildlife in the backyard. All the appliances are brand new stainless steel and there is plenty of storage in the pantry for longer stays. Off the kitchen is the laundry room and host closet stocked with extra amenities for your convenience.

From the dining and kitchen area, the backdoor leads to the back patio and yard where you will find a playground, pool house, bocce court, and pool!


“The Ranchito” is the Master Bedroom on the main floor. This spacious Mexican ranch-themed room boasts modern-rustic vaquero vibes - you'll feel like you are in a Tex Mex version of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch. It has a King-sized bed as well as a pull-out twin trundle underneath. The master bathroom suite has a his and hers vanity and jacuzzi tub wrapped in leathered concrete-look quartz, a walk-in shower with a bench seat, and a large walk-in closet.

“The Agave” Room is on the opposite side from the master on the first floor and was inspired by the tequila plant farms that are reminiscent of the vineyards surrounding Fredericksburg. This room also has a King bed and easy access to the full guest bathroom in the hall featuring a large floating stone vanity and agave wallpaper.

Upstairs, there are two more bedrooms.



“The Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” Room is inspired by Tejano/ Mexican women in pop culture. It hosts one Queen bed and a Twin daybed and has an attached full bathroom with marble-look wall panels and cactus desert wallpaper.

“The Mariachi” Room is across the catwalk and is the most spacious bedroom - we have dubbed it “The Mariachi” after the musical and pueblo-inspired colorful art. It has 2 Queen beds, a large closet, and a sitting area with a mirror to get ready for any planned fun festivities.

Outdoor Features:
The Ranchito Pool-House Bar is the crowned gem of the Ranchito Retreat. Just open the 10x10 glass garage door and kick open the pass thru bar window and invite the outside in. Put down your wine ‘cuz at the Ranchito bar, it’s always Tequila time! Mix up some margaritas with our provided blender, watch your favorite team on the outdoor bar TV while you play some bocce ball, or watch the 70” flat screen TV while you lounge and swim in the pool. You’ll also find a full-size fridge and freezer and a changing room. The loft has a Queen-sized day bed in case you need a siesta, or you can sit and relax with a book or play some lotteria. There is also a leather futon couch downstairs for that one friend that can't make it the 100 feet to the main house at the end of the night.

There is plenty of patio space and a turf patio to lounge around the pool so spread out and enjoy!

Mi casa es Su casa! The entire property is free to roam. We do have a covered RV spot with electric hook up, so if you would like to bring your RV you are more than welcome, we just require a small nightly fee to cover any additional guests that may stay if that is the case.
Other things to note
The Ranchito Retreat has been a family dream of ours for years. We did all the design and remodeling from start to finish, and pride ourselves on what we were able to accomplish together. The renovations were recently completed in August 2023. Please reach out if there are any issues or recommendations and we will do our best to accommodate you.
