The establishment is an older but nice place. I think they could update the rooms themselves. Really noisy from traffic out side. I feel that on a Tuesday night they would have provided a room away from the front and roadside.

Property is in poor condition. Maintenance is terrible. VERY dated. The price reflected this but Expedia rating was 8.2 as I recall. It was not worthy of this.

I would not recommend staying at YO Hotel. The overall experience was very disappointing from start to finish. The room was extremely dirty and clearly not maintained to any acceptable standard. It felt neglected, and cleanliness is the bare minimum you expect from any hotel—especially at the price they are charging. The staff was also quite rude and unhelpful, which made the situation even worse. Instead of addressing concerns, they came across as dismissive and uninterested. Another major issue is the lack of security. The room doors are directly accessible from the road, with no controlled access, which felt unsafe—especially for families with kids. I would not consider this a suitable place to stay with children. To top it all off, the pricing is far too high for the condition and overall experience. You can find much better value and safer accommodations elsewhere. Overall, a very poor experience and not worth the money. I would strongly advise looking at other options in the area.

Consistently having problems with keys in our rooms all three of my guests .all three rooms.air conditioner would not shut off in two of the rooms. The yards have not been cut in months rocks all over the parking lots can’t even roll your suitcases. I have been staying here for over 30 years and it has gone downhill badly the last five. please help bring this hotel back to a four star rating. It’s too historic to let go like this.

Staff needs better training. Akways seems to be issues with computers. Ice machines had no ice. Another guest told me they had checked several of them. Maid service was requested twice, but showed up late in evening. My brother had to go to check in 5 times in 3 days because of card issues with the door to his room. I am disappointed in my first time there.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Good food at the restaurant and the bar had live music. Property is a bit dated and in need of a remodel which they said was in the plan. The hot tub was not working but the room was nice clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay again.

A grand lobby and hotel idea for sure but can come a little stronger with little things. I enjoy the lobby area and how much there is to see. I get the concept, lodge/cabin and the room reflected that. But there needs to be small upgrades. Could not figure out the ac and that can be bad in Texas. Furniture in room, hallways, dated and so is bath. Booked a room for four but had a bar of soap a little bigger than a quarter. No hand soap/ shampoo, conditioner. Nice grounds, pool area and lots of staff/ maintenance on property. Close to a lot of store/ restaurants and quiet. Even if it says break available online, that is not the case. Was told buffet was only available after Wednesday but left day before.

My daughter and I both got sick during stay bc of old A/C and mold in ceiling tiles all over hotel, Lukewarm shower.No soap in room. ,rust around toilet, no coffee in lobby in morning- I was told that it was 2 days old, light out in bathroom, no laundry bag, wood around the whole property was rotting. I used to enjoy this place-now I will no longer go there

The first room they gave us was in an old wing in a room that was stuffy. The air conditioner was not working. It had a musty smell when we went to complain. They said they would get a maintenance man up there. We jiggled the plug and finally got power to come on, but the smell was too strong so I went and I requested another room and they did give us another one that was in a lot better condition. Why they gave us that ugly room in the first place I do not know. the place was really nice at once upon a time, but since then it has aged it needs updating.

This hotel/motel was once a nice place. The foyer is still decent looking if you don’t look too close but enjoy it because that’s the only thing about this place that passes as decent. It has been let go and is now a filthy mess. Not only that but it’s extremely hard to get to a room on the second floor. There is no elevator. You must drag your suitcase up several sets of stairs to get to a long corridor filled with the filthiest carpet I’ve seen in a public space. Travelers with children or elderly in their party just need to avoid this place. Once in the room it looks like your typical run down Motel 6. The room has a coffee maker that doesn’t work but it’s just as well because there is no water or cups to make it anyway and only one packet of coffee for a double room. The city water is still not potable so be sure to bring some with you. On to the bathroom. I hope you have had your tetanus shot recently because if you enter the bathroom you will need it. Truck stop bathrooms in the 70’s were undoubtedly cleaner than this one. The level of filth in the hallway should have been a warning sign but nothing prepared me for that floor. It had a layer of nasty build up you can only get by constantly neglecting cleaning. Just built up grime and the grout around the tub was black with it. I wiped the toilet and sink area with bleach cleaner and we made the best of it and just sponged off because there was no way I would have gotten in the shower. 0/10 stars
