While the neighborhood around the property is a bit run down, the home itself is clean and well maintained inside. The outside could use some attention. But the deck is spectacular. We spent quite a lot of time soaking up the spring sun and watching the play of light on the waters of Holmes Harbor. And one afternoon, we were lucky enough to observe members of the resident orca J Pod as they headed north. Another day, we caught a glimpse of a gray whale directly below the house, as it briefly surfaced and then disappeared. We also saw eagles, Harbor seals, and many other birds. Other than the racket of early morning birdsong, we found the neighborhood peaceful and quiet. We had a lovely stay and plan to come back again this summer. Don’t forget your binoculars!
