Near the beach, we are situated in a large canal basin with views over the water and our large pool is surrounded by tropical gardens.
Included is a 8-seat van and a 14' boat with 60hp engine
There is also available an 18' centre consul boat with GPS Chart Plotter available for experienced boaters. If you are not confident enough due to lack of experience, we also offer an experienced captain who can take you from our dock to a beach, reef and waterside restaurants for an hourly rate. (Usually available, check before booking) We also have two person Kayaks and a paddle board for you to enjoy and explore the canal system. Should you bring your own boat dockage is available up to 50 foot.
This is a house built for entertaining! With multiple open plan living areas inside and 2000 sq. ft. of patio around the pool. Flamingo Lane is perfect for, group vacations and big families.
Getting to beaches is so easy. The bars, nightclubs, shops, cafes, restaurants, beach bars and markets of Port Lucaya are just over a mile drive away. For those arriving by boat, we have 125' of deep water canal frontage (approx. 16' deep) to accommodate both small and large vessels, plus 30 and 50 amp shore power for which there is a charge. WiFi internet, TV and water hook up.
To ensure your quote is correct make sure you have the total number of people in your booking. The standard rate is for eight guests and for each person over eight up to 12 there is an additional cost. If necessary please check our House Rules regarding number of people.

KITCHEN:
A huge open-plan space at the center of the house and leads into the TV Entertainment Lounge, the Formal Relaxing Lounge and the Dining Room. The close proximity to these other rooms allows the whole family or group to relax or do different activities but without being separated. The large island with granite counter-top serves as a meeting place for all guests. Ample seating is available - stools at the breakfast bar and stools at the round glass table (and a high-chair is available upon request at no extra charge). This makes it a great place to have breakfast altogether, mix drinks, and chat.

A separate door at the back of the kitchen leads to the UTILITY ROOM with a front-loading washing machine, a separate front-loading dryer, ironing board and iron.

DINING ROOM:
An airy and spacious room with a large dining table and six dining chairs, and overlooks our beautiful tropical front garden.
Situated at the front of the house, it is both open plan, so that guests do not feel confined, and also separate from the other living areas, to give a little privacy and quiet. The large dresser contains all the napkins, table mats you may require for the perfect formal island dinner in the comfort of Flamingo Lane.

TV ENTERTAINMENT LOUNGE:
This open-plan room is great for everyday living. A bright floral three-piece suite, coffee table and two side tables are surrounded by big windows that overlook the tropical garden and pool. Glass double patio doors open out onto the covered porch. A large flat-screen TV with media player and speakers provide a great entertainment area for kids and adults. There is collection of books and novels, as well as a chess set, backgammon, board games and cards.

FORMAL RELAXING LOUNGE:
This open-plan room is set off by a very large, comfy three-piece suite in a soft, rich red fabric. Accompanied by a big coffee table and two side tables, this is a wonderful place to spend the evening inside with cocktails, watching the sun set over the water, as the glass double patio doors open out onto the covered porch and overlook the pool fringed by coconut trees and, beyond, the canal.

BEDROOM 1:
Very large room with king-size bed, walk-in closet and flat-screen TV. Glass patio doors (with full blinds) lead out to patio, and pool. En-suite bathroom with shower and spa bath.

BEDROOM 2:
Very large room with king-size bed, closets and flat-screen TV. Glass patio doors (with full blinds) lead out to private patio with BBQ grill and picnic table, and to the pool. En-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.

BEDROOM 3:
Large room with queen-size bed, large closet, flat-screen TV and dressing table with mirror. Looks out over our beautiful tropical garden. En-suite bathroom with double sinks, bath and overhead shower.

BEDROOM 4:
Queen-size bed and bunk beds with closet. Looks out over tropical garden. Bathroom is shared with Guest Bedroom 3 via a separate door in the hall. There is also access to a half-bathroom via the hall.

BEDROOM 5/STUDY:
Queen-size pull-out sofa bed (very comfortable) with desk and hanging closet. If preferred, this room can be used as an office or study.​

Complementary toiletries in all bathrooms. Hairdryer available in all bedrooms. Bath towels provided.
A baby cot can be provided upon request at no extra charge.

SWIMMING POOL:
​​​The 30' x 15' large swimming pool is a focus for most guests, as you can imagine! Surrounded by coconut trees and Frangipani and overlooking the canal, it is definitely our favorite spot, too!

PATIO AREA:
The patio area surrounding the pool is approximately 2000 sq. ft. - plenty of room for entertaining. With several comfy loungers and separate pool towels provided, it is perfect for spending days relaxing in the sunshine or sunbathing. Around the corner from the pool is a patio sheltered by palm trees and complete with a BBQ grill, a big garden parasol for some shade and a large round picnic table for outdoor dining, drinking and entertaining.

COVERED PORCH:
The covered porch is often many guests' favourite place to relax in the evening. The sofa and armchairs all overlook the pool and, beyond, the canal - which provides a wonderful backdrop for the most beautiful sunsets (which we seem to be treated with almost every evening!) and the ideal spot for sundowners!

The house is situated in a large, quiet canal basin with a private dock. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe and the house has a code-operated gate at the front.

By boat (included), we are just a few minutes away from the ocean and beautiful beaches (often nobody else there…it's amazing). One of the best beaches is just outside of our canal entrance, less than 1/2 mile away. The boat is also ideal for just pottering around our waterway.

By car, we are a five minute drive to all the main attractions on the island: colorful Port Lucaya Market Place with many shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment at Count Basie Square.

On foot, one of the beaches is just a 1 mile walk away!

ACTIVITIES:
Only 60 miles east of the Florida coast, Grand Bahama has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and some of the clearest turquoise seas which make exploring the reefs with an abundance of colorful fish an amazing pastime - so make sure you bring along your underwater camera. If you scuba dive, the shark feed is a must or you can explore one of many wrecks.

World-famous Wednesday night Fish Fry also on another beach. Bishop's Beach Restaurant at High Rock. Deadman's Reef for fabulous snorkeling at Paradise Cove.
