About this property

  • Our two cottages (garden suite and lake house) are located in a quiet corner of the village of Altheim.
    If you want to enjoy Lake Constance you are in Überlingen in about 10 minutes!
    Both houses have beautiful adult bedrooms and each have a separate children's room with a pull-out bed (seehaus plus Loft bed), which can be used as a sofa during the day.
    The daylight bathrooms are luxuriously equipped and very spacious.
    The living and dining area has an open kitchen / breakfast corner from which you can enjoy a beautiful view through the panoramic window.
    Guests can use the terraces for sunbathing and barbecuing.
    In the immediate vicinity there are meadows, fields and a small stream. There is also a children's playground, country inn, bakery etc. within walking distance.
    Dogs are welcome on prior request, we charge a fee of 15 € / day as for every other guest.
    In the period from the 1st April 2017 - indefinitely - there may be temporary construction site activities in the area (new development area).
    We do not have WiFi.

Chic aber völlig unpraktisch

Die Unterkunft legt Wert auf Design, ist aber unzureichend ausgestattet. Kennt man den IKEA Katalog, findet man alte Bekannte. Sucht man jedoch einen Kleiderschrank, praktische Haushaltsgegenstände wie eine Butterglocke, einen gemütlichen Esstisch oder sitzbare Stühle dazu, sucht man vergebens. Wobei viel suchen muss man nicht. Die Unterkunft ist sehr klein, einen Garten gibt es trotz des Namens auch nicht, nur eine kleine Terrasse vor dem Haus. Für junge Leute geeignet, höchstens jedoch für 2. Allerdings werden die sich über fehlendes W-LAN beklagen. In der Buchungsbestätigung hieß es: „W-LAN auf Anfrage vorhanden“, was jedoch nicht zutraf. Ferner war eine Baustelle direkt vor der Terrasse, was diese meistens unbrauchbar machte. Auf unsere Anfrage, ob WLAN möglich ist, gab es eine pampige Antwort der Vermieterin, die dann auch noch das Telefonat grußlos beendete. Alles in allem war das Haus einfach das Geld nicht wert. Viel Schein, wenig Sein.

Back to the basics

Die Wohnung ist hinsichtlich ihrer Ausstattung sehr ansprechend, jedoch einfach. Die Betten sind klein und relativ hart. Es fehlte definitiv ein Schrank!! Unsere Kleidung musste im Koffer bleiben. Außerdem gab es nur für eine Person eine bequeme Sitzmöglichkeit (Sofa), die zweite Person saß auf ei em formschönen, jedoch harten Drahtstuhl. In der Nachbarschaft wird gebaut, daher herrscht auch Abend und am WE latenter Baulärm. Die Wohnung ist für max,2 Personen geeignet, die viel Unternehmen und keine Langschläfer sind. In dem verschlafenen Dorf gibt es zwar kein Geschäft, dafür aber ein sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant ("Löwen"), das wir wegen des vorzüglichen Essens gleich zweimal besuchten.

Schönen Urlaub erlebt

Wir hatten einen schönen Sommerurlaub mit traumhaftem Wetter am Bodensee. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und abgelegen. Mit dem Auto ist man allerdings in wenigen Minuten am Bodensee. Sehr modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Sowohl in der Küche als auch im Badezimmer und in den Schlafräumen (z. Bsp. Bettwäsche und Handtücher) Die Terrasse ist völlig ausreichend, es ist sogar ein Grill vorhanden. Rollos an allen Fenstern wären schön gewesen. Unser Tipp für einen Ausflug wäre die Therme in Meersburg mit einem wunderschönen Panorama auf den Bodensee, verbunden mit dem vorhandenen Freibad. Konstanz und die Insel Mainau sind natürlich auch zu empfehlen. Sehr netter und freundlicher Kontakt, alles verlief problemlos. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. LG

Hübsch gemacht - aber weit weg vom Bodensee

Zwei dicht beieinander stehende kleine Bungalows in einer Baulücke mit Panoramascheibe - aber ohne Panorama. Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin - aber doch eher spärliche Ausstattung. Tolles Bad - in der Küche könnte es gern etwas mehr sein.

Beautiful cottage!

We so enjoyed staying in this lovely cottage. I loved the modern fixtures and all the light. The owner and her mother (who I worked with on this trip) speak excellent English, which made things very easy for us. They recommended some good restaurants nearby, which I appreciated. Everything needed for simple meal preparation and cleanup was provided. The property also has a lovely deck area with table for sitting and enjoying the view. This property is in a rural area. There are lots of paths nearby for wandering. It is about 15 minutes from the lake. The only think that would have improved our stay was if the apartment had wifi. Otherwise, we loved our stay here.

Extremely relaxing place

A very nice and comfortable cottage! We had a great time and could completely relax; no wifi (was not yet installed) was very helpful too . Very nice walks for the four legged friends. Cottage is completely new and very nice decorated. Perfect kitchen and very nice bathroom. Would recommend if you want to be isolated and recharge your battery, as the next bigger village is 2.5 km. thank you for the warm welcome! Everything was perfect!
