“STAY HERE!!!! I could write a whole essay but I will keep it short and sweet. The owners are so dedicated to this place and it really shows. From the customer service, the in room living space, bed and decorations, the coffee. Even the lobby is so h a gem of a place. If we had more time I could definitely have spent some good time there. I don’t typically write reviews for places cause if I don’t have anything nice to say I don’t say anything but this place was worth every cent we paid. Look……

“Marie was an excellent host and wealth of knowledge as to what to see,do,and eat while in Homer. And her breakfasts were spectacular!! Loved the homemade fresh jams, jellies, and syrups. The room and restroom was spacious and clean. Probably the best view from the deck balcony that we have seen in a number of years. We highly recommend the Majestic B&B for the perfect stay while in Homer, Alaska.”

“Loved Homer. Location was extremely convenient due to the Safeway being across the street. Wish I had spent more time in Homer.”

“Great location, funky suite layout, but had all the necessities. I really appreciated the good WIFI, black-out drapes, and plenty of clean towels. The owner was very kind and helpful. BONUS I loved seeing all the bunny rabbits everywhere.”

“Wow, what a gorgeous room with a gorgeous view! This space was restful and very comfortable, absolutely perfect for our stay on the Spit. Beautifully decorated and immaculately clean.”

“The solarium and hot tub was a good distance away and was just a green house. I may have misunderstood when booking,but they made it seem like it was a part of the cabin.( the entire reason I spent $400 for one night) it was hard lugging my luggage to the cabin do to the railroad tie stairs being so far apart. Inside the cabin all the stairs are very steep and at odd angles. The bathroom was EXTREMELY small. The views from inside and out are amazing. You feel like you are much farther from the……

“My friend and I were very excited to be visiting Alaska for the first time. We were also excited to be staying at the Halcyon bed-and-breakfast as the photos looked very nice. Upon arrival, we entered the owners upstairs living room, only to find it in complete disarray, very messy and not very clean. That immediately made us wonder if we should actually be eating breakfast in this home. The hosts were very nice, but our concern was the property and its poor condition. Our room and not very……

“Wonderful view! Nice, roomy unit. Two issues. 1. Couldn’t figure out how to use the tv. Searching said no channels found. 2. Unit description online showed “kitchen”. There was a little fridge in the room with a microwave on top. That’s not a kitchen.”

“We like everything about this property! We travel extensively and I really believe this host offered the “little” details possible. A small candy dish, a booklet full of local information, soft towels, make up towels, nice shower heads, coffee products, etc…. We enjoyed the balcony, recliners and soft bed. Nearby float planes coming and going did make noise that could bother some, but we know those sounds are the price of adventure for others, overall this is a great place to stay!”

“It's a beautiful cabin, either new or just updated. It only had 1 bed and an uncomfortable pullout couch, which i didn't find 100% clear in the listing. The bathroom sink wouldn't drain. The best part was the location, being right by the lake. We sat by the water and watched at least 25 planes take off and land! They provide ear plugs and sleep masks which are required because the door doesn't have a curtain to block the light.”
