Peaceful Location

We had a fabulous week in The Barn. It was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed. It was extremely comfortable and lovely to be able to use the garden for meals and relaxing. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area without travelling too far.

Wonderful Place with very nice host

We enjoyed our trip very much. A little bit sleepy small village but that's exactly what we are looking for. Wonderful lodge designed by host. All you need was there and if you need something host Sharon has still a warm welcome

Great stay

Wonderfully renovated barn, tasteful decoration. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped, they also had a teapot! The bed was very comfortable and the small wood burning stove came in handy when it got cold... Nice owners nearby and the owners cat called Noodles is a sweetie. We can recommend it and hope to come there again.

A beautiful, comfortable, home from home

Such a lovely property. We found it difficult to tear ourselves away from the scenic terrace of this gite. But we did go sightseeing and enjoyed so many historic and interesting places within an hour of home. The owner Sharon lives next door so any issues can be dealt with straight away, although there were none with us. I thoroughly recommend this lovely gite. We'll be back and for longer next time.

Toller Urlaub

Wir sind ein älteres Paar mit kleinem Hund. Wir haben uns in diesem schönen Haus sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus ist behaglich, geschmackvoll und auch sehr praktisch eingerichtet; es bietet alles, was man braucht. Der Garten ist komplett eingezäunt, was für uns wegen des Hundes wichtig war. Wir haben es sehr genossen, auf der schönen Terrasse zu frühstücken und abends den guten Burgunder zu trinken. Dann haben wir noch einen kleinen Abendspaziergang bergab zu „unserer“ Bank gemacht. Die Vermieter Sharon und ihr Mann sind besonders nett, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Wir haben morgens besonders genossen, dass wir Baguette und Croissants auf das Fensterbrett geliefert bekommen haben, und zwar an allen Tagen, auch am Montag. Die Gegend ist wunderschön. Wir haben viele schöne Ausflüge gemacht. Sharon hat dazu einen Ordner im Haus deponiert mit vielen guten Vorschlägen. Das einzige kleine Problem stellte die Treppe im Haus dar, die unser (kurzbeiniger) Hund nur mit Mühe geschafft hat. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Mooi uitzicht

Mooi huis met prachtig uitzicht. Volledig omheinde tuin voor de hond. Ontbijtservice en maaltijd service zijn super, vooral omdat er in de directe omgeving geen winkels of bakkers zijn.

Bourgogne Côte-d’Or

Gewandeld in de omgeving, naburige dorpjes bezocht, naar Dijon (ong 45 min) en Beaune gereden. Een auto heb je in deze omgeving wel nodig. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. De 2 slaapkamers hebben elk een prima badkamer. (Er is ook een 1p zonder badkamer). Op de aankomstdag genoten van de boeuf Bourguignon gemaakt door de echtgenoot van Sharon. Ook een aantal keren gebruik gemaakt van de ontbijtservice. Om 8 uur stond de tas met bestelde baquettes en croissantjes voor ons klaar, dat scheelde een autoritje naar de bakker. Sharon woont aan de overkant en kan alle vragen beantwoorden. Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad!

Cadre exceptionnel et reposant

Accueil chaleureux,grande discrétion de Sharon et Grégoire qui restent très disponibles pour leurs locataires . De nombreux sites de visites à proximité. Le cadre est calme et dépaysant,et la vue de la terrasse est magnifique.La location est spacieuse et très bien équipée,la décoration est soignée avec la touche personnelle de Sharon.Nous avons apprécié l'accueil de notre petit chien dans un jardin clos.Les délicieux plats et les viennoiseries du matin confectionnés par Sharon agrémentent le séjour . Bref...nous y reviendrons avec grands plaisir.

Prima plek om te resetten, veel privacy. Schitterende barn, fijne tuin met mooi uitzicht. Vriendelijke eigenaresse, tevens buurvrouw, 's ochtends vers brood en naar wens verdere catering. We hebben lange wandelingen gemaakt met onze hond, mooie omgeving. bezoek aan de Abdij van Fontenay is een must. Aanbod restaurants in de buurt is niet groot. Eveline, Paul en hond Morris.

Agréable séjour à Frôlois

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au calme à la campagne dans une belle région de Bourgogne. La maison est cosy et la propriétaire, très discrète et à votre disposition pour toutes questions, propose également d'excellents plats et desserts.

Beautiful stay!

We had a lovely stay at the Barn. The house is beautiful and perfectly appointed for all your needs. As it was cold outside, we especially loved the wood burning stove! Beautiful walks and countryside in the area. Sharon is so kind and helpful - she even helped us to find what we needed for our Thanksgiving holiday celebration - not so easy to find all the proper ingredients in France - and lent us some additional cookware from her own kitchen. We also loved the bread delivery in the morning, so fun!! I do not hesitate to recommend a stay here, it’s wonderful. Thank you!

Aanrader!!

Mooie en verzorgde keuken. Fantastisch mooie streek. De eigenaar heeft een map voorzien met heel veel nuttige informatie. Voldoende om een week te vullen zonder dat er onnodig grote afstanden moeten worden gereden. Een aanrader!

Beautiful setting

A very well appointed holiday cottage in a peacefully quiet setting. It has everything needed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Some really nice little touches added to the property by the owner. Thankfully the beds were great (we suffer with back issues) which was a relief! I would not hesitate to recommend this barn conversion to others.

Fantastic house and exceptional host

My husband, me and my and in-laws stayed at The Barn for a week and had a great time. Sharon is a lovely host. She lives next door and is warm and generous without ever being intrusive. Her cooking is delicious and a great value so definitely take advantage of her offer to provide meals for your group. She also helped us find a wine for we wanted to go on and was very gracious when I broke a dish. The house is well appointed with everything you could need and a lot of nice-to-haves, like a roll of paper towels, Tupperware for refrigerator leftovers, plastic wrap and foil and hotel-size toiletries in each bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the magical duvet was like sleeping under a cloud. The outdoor space is nice, too. We really enjoyed al fresco dining every night. Ned, their cat, is super friendly and it was the highlight of each day when he came by for a cuddle and to say hi. We had a fantastic time and there is nothing bad to say about the visit, the house, the location or our hosts. We had a wonderful time. One tip to naive travelers like us: there is another Frolois near Nancy. Make sure you don’t buy train tickets to the wrong town like we did!!!! (Go to Frôlois, not Frolois!!!)

Eine schöne Urlaubswoche

Wir verbrachten in dem sehr geschmackvoll und sauberen Haus in äußerst ruhiger Lage - nur die Vögel hört man zwitschern - eine wunderschöne Woche. Sharon, die Vermieterin, wohnt gleich nebenan und verwöhnte uns abends mit Ihren selbstzubereiteten Köstlichkeiten. Auch Gebäck fürs Frühstück war immer breit. In der Region gibt es viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, die mit dem Auto in längstens 1 1/4 Stunden zu erreichen sind.

Wonderful barn conversion

4 adults had a very relaxing week at the barn, great peaceful location, which was ideal for our two dogs. Sharon is the perfect host always available to help or provide recommendations. Well worth a visit.

Great barn in a quiet area

Lovely well equipped converted barn, although the only thing missing for us was a dishwasher. Really comfy beds with nice linen and powerful hot showers. Loved the quiet area but a short drive to get supplies and slightly further to the bigger town of Dijon. Sharon is great host with helpful tips, particularly for our running routes! Was a massive help that she did the shopping prior to our arrival.

Es war sehr schön!

Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Gemütliches Haus, ruhige Lage, sehr schön zum Wandern und Joggen. Viele schöne und interessante Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe mit dem Auto erreichbar. Für eine Familie mit 2 Kindern und Hund top! 2 Schlafzimmer mit Bädern en Suite! Was will man mehr? Von der Terrasse hat man auch eine wunderbare Aussicht.

Des vacances très agréables en famille.

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans le gîte "The Barn" à Frôlois. Nous étions venus en famille pour passer quelques jours afin de découvrir cette belle région de Bourgogne et pour se ressourcer. Mission remplie : le gite est idéalement situé pour des escapades touristiques dans les nombreux sites environnants, nous avons profité également du village paisible, loin du bruit et de la pollution de la ville. Le gite est parfaitement décoré et plein de charme. Sharon est adorable et attentionnée. Bravo aussi pour le "petit plus" qui consiste à profiter des croissants chauds et pain au petit-déjeuner, c'était vraiment appréciable. Nous recommandons.

Better than ALL the Gites I have ever stayed in!

A fabulous house far superior than any Gite I have stayed in before. We were blessed with stunning autumnal weather, contributing to a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back.
