“Lovely place to stay. Staff took care of guests well. I only had one breakfast (and one take out) during my stay but they kept offering options for the rest of days I couldn't make breakfast. Open facade in the middle of the building is welcoming/charming. Wednesday course dinner was great. Quiet and accessible neighborhood. Would love to come back.”

“I suppose the kindest thing to say is that The Monkey Room is a "work in progress". The hotel/hostal is right in the centre of Marbella Old Town and although it sets out in adverts to be "chic" and "cool" it has a long way to go. While I was there a workman was on site preparing another cubby hole as a bedroom and I think my room was only half-finished. The nights were cold and only a single sheet covered the bed and, after moving my room to the one in the photo (instead of on the roof) I found……
