It was an amazing place to stay. Very clean and updated. The hosts thought of everything one could need for an enjoyable stay. Perfect for a stay in Galena or a weekend getaway. A must stay.

Fireplace a problem
The house is fine--very small and really only good for 2 people at the most--the fireplace did not work well--the glass door on the fireplace needs to be replaced--the smoke from the fireplace escaped out and made it impossible to have a fire.

What a lovely getaway! We’ve celebrated Thanksgiving in Galena the last 18 years, renting various properties and were so pleased to find this unit available! It was very clean, quiet, cozy and in a great location. A perfect 2-mile walk around the golf course right out the back door. The only disappointment was no baking pans. Plenty of skillets but no bakeware or cookie sheets. Hoping these will be supplied when we rent again in the future.

Nice Getaway - second management company fees charged after reservation confirmed
This property was great for a quick getaway. One disappointment when you schedule this through VRBO they list the pricing as final price then after you have committed a separate management company sends you an additional charge of $150 for a dog. So heads up when comparing other properties and pricing know there is an additional charge coming your way. Just wish that would be included when making the initial reservation.
