Great place to stay with friends and family. Upon arrival, the floors were pretty sandy throughout the house, but it is right on the beach. The kitchen was fully stocked, minus pans. The host responded in a timely manner when we had any questions. Overall, we had a great time and would stay here again.

Great time

We had a great time. We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach. With small children we could make several trips a day to the beach without it being a big deal. The deck and chairs were wonderful for watching the waves. All of us really enjoyed it.

Easy access to beach. Path direct from property. Be aware vehicles are allowed on beach. Easy check-in and check-out. Plenty of room. The bottom bunks are in the floor. Quiet neighborhood. Would stay again.

Fantastic Location

Perfect for a large family gathering, plenty of beds and space and room to hang out. Beautiful ocean views from the deck and just steps from the beach - location could not be beat.

Great house for extended family

Truly loved the place. Great location, clean, patios and great large living area with giant couch. Perfect for extended family. The 2 king bedrooms are like having 2 master bedrooms and worked so well with our family. All rooms are spacious and my favorite thing is all of the TALL chairs across the deck. Height is a big issue with me on deck furniture and these were perfect!!! We spent so many hours out there. Will stay here again next time we come.

Exactly what we wanted

This was our first time renting a house and using a service like this. We had a great time. This house is in a very good location. Not too many people on the beach when we stayed, but only 15 minutes from town.

Tons of space and you cant beat the view!

There were 9 of us and had space for plenty more! Great place to be especially with kids. Lots of seating in the living space and all of the windows brought in tons of natural light. Plenty of pots/pans/dishes/silverware to accommodate large groups. The main strip in Galveston is only about 15 to 20 minutes from the house with tons to do and places to eat (there were a few things closer as well).Had a couple minor issues that were handled immediately. Would definitely stay here again!1 thing to note...this is a beach that you can drive on which scared me at first but everyone was very cautious and we had no issues.1 suggestion (not complaint because I asked beforehand and knew what to bring)..beach towels are not supplied but there were plenty of bath towels for showers/baths.

Spring Break @ Jamaica Beach

Overall, the listing was as described and it was a nice home that could accommodate a large group. It is right on the beach however beware that it gets terribly busy with lots of cars going up and down. There is tons of room and space for a large party. We only used 3 of the rooms. Pets were welcome which was a plus. Upon arrival, the key wasn’t in the lock box but management replied very quickly to get us into the home. There was a broken cabinet and trash can in the kitchen but nothing that was an inconvenience to us but were reported for repair. The kitchen had just about everything readily available for me to cook all our meals using what we brought. We would book again.

Girls weekend

Overall great house plenty of room for everyone. Great location. You do need to check pair of exterior doors on one bedroom will not lock and the push down safety bar would not function properly. Still throughly enjoyed the visit and would definitely come back.

Disappointing

The home was not as nice as the photos led us to believe. We arrived to a broken cabinet (door was on the floor), broken garbage can, and numerous ceiling light bulbs were out. That’s kind of a big deal because there are almost no table lamps, not even in the bedrooms. The toilets required additional cleaning and I’m not convinced all the sheets were changed as some were suspiciously wrinkled. However, the view was fabulous and so are the deck chairs. I also received good communication from the property manager.

Wonderful Beach House!!

Every year my family of 12-14 people take a beach vacation (4 days) somewhere in Galveston and we rent a nice house with lots of room. I would say that this is my favorite house so far! We had plenty of room to enjoy each other and hang out together as well as separate and spend time at the beach, on the balcony or in our rooms. Everything was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary pots, pans, plenty of plates, glasses, mugs, cutlery, etc. Very impressive! The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of them. The host was very responsive with CLEAR instructions and rules... which I love! A very fun and enjoyable stay! The beach was perfect! Again, it is my favorite place that I have rented in Galveston! Hope to book it again for next year!

Great location

The house was in a great location and communication with the property manager or owner was great. However the house was in poor condition. The photos were slightly misleading.. there was a large hole in the wall in the living room, a large hole in the upper deck which we had to cover with a plank so our 2 year old niece wouldn’t accidentally fall through.. the bathrooms all had mold, which I partially understand as it is a beach front property.. however it looked like they haven’t put much effort into the upkeep of the house. Overall, we would book the property again as the rooms were spacious and it was a good deal for a larger beach front house. But I would urge the owner to fix some of the issues before next season.

2024 Beach Get Away

As with any Beach Rental the property reflects the wear of all things OCEAN related - Storms, Salt Water, etc. Just set your expectation accordingly and you will love your stay. We loved the location and ease of walking out the door straight to the waves. We used the grill and firepit which was great, brought a small blow up pool for our 3 year old grandson to play in under the house when he needed a break from the sun. The huge family room/kitchen dining room was perfect for our group and the bedroom set up was perfect for us. A couple hiccups with A/C and Garbage Disposal, but Russell was very responsive and his team was in and out quickly resolving what was needed. Oh, a pleasant surprise is the listing says 3 full baths - there are actually 4 full baths in this home. Honestly I think the square footage is wrong - it feels bigger than what is listed - another bonus! Thanks for a great week Beach Box!

We had a nice stay. Property manager attentive. Love the proximity and easy access to the beach. Appreciated the tall deck chairs and the quantity of them, we always had enough. The camp is tatefully decorated. The beds and pillows were comfortable. True the house is showing its love but nothing that kept us from enjoying our stay. I would suggest that the camp have a large frying pan for a typical breakfast of eggs to be prepared in. I would also suggest having a nicer broom, and mop and mop bucket available for visitors that do want to take care of it as if it were their home. The bunk room is pretty warm, that room stays much cooler with the door remaining open and a fan in the entrance blowing cooler air into it. For us at the end of sept. The thermostat at 70 was enough to keep.us cool. The roof needs attention. As well as the deck Im sure the owners are probably aware again nothing that affected pur stay. Do want to return to this house in the future. it. SUGGEST

Great Location

The location of property was exactly what we were looking for! That was about it. Definitely needing some major repair/updates on some stuff. We get it! It’s a rental but at least try to make an effort into making sure everything works. Dryer didn’t work so we could only wash and let our clothes sun dry! Disposal under sink didn’t work so water wasn’t draining well so we had to wait a while in order for us to continue washing dishes! We did notify property management, they told me that someone would fix these issues but no one ever showed up. Dishwasher also didn’t work, but at this point we didn’t even bring it up cause it was the day before check out ! We weren’t able to find air filter for A/C so we had to clean the existing on and use it again. Probably would have been a less stressful experience if these things would have been taken care of, but we managed.

Disappointing

House is beachfront and had a small path directly behind in the dunes to access the beach. Lots of beds and bathrooms for a big group to use. No mosquitoes at all at the house and beach during my groups' stay. Plenty of parking spaces at the house. Downsides are AC in living room sucks, temperature in living room never got below 79 and was around 81 most of the time. There is no ventilation installed in the kitchen, so cooking made the living room even more hot and stuffy. Windows were barely usable and hard to open/close. Blinds had broken pieces and gaps. Living room bathroom door did not have a working doorknob from inside. Doors to the outside have cracks and noticeable gaps in them. There were cockroaches roaming around at night, had to kill 1-2 cockroaches a night. House is need of touchups on AC, doors, windows, and pest control.
