Birds in Paradise is a top floor condo on Galveston's famed Seawall welcoming up to 6 guests - fully equipped kitchen with full sized appliances, 5 BEDS - King, Queen, and Bunk Beds, too!

The master bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom a queen, and in the hallway alcove you will find twin bunks.

There are 1 1/2 baths with a tub/shower in one area - and two areas each with a toilet and sink - one accessed through the master bedroom, the other through the hallway.

While Maravilla is a gulf front property, it is not beach front just yet – we’ve heard that the sand will be extended to this area in fall of 2023 - there are stairs that lead to the water and people walk down those stairs to fish and swim frequently - but not a great place for a family picnic or sunbathing as there are large rocks in this area - the nearest sandy beach is approximately .75 miles to the west.

Don't let this deter you as the complex has 3 pools (1 heated) a hot tub, outdoor volleyball, a fitness room and so much more to offer. Many folks come for the beach and never leave the complex except to eat! Not a better place in Galveston for you to stay.

The whole place is yours! In addition to the condo, as a registered guest you have access to the 3 pools (one heated when necessary), hot tub, fitness facilities, BBQ grills and picnic tables inside of the gated pool areas and so much more!

Prior to your arrival we will email you confirmation with check in instructions and a code to access the property you've rented. We do have an office on the island, and we are available 24/7 in the event of an emergency.

My Galveston Getaway provides starter supplies of toiletries, paper products, dish cleaning options and coffee to get our guests started and situated before making their shopping lists and determining which shopping option works best for their group. These supplies are not intended to last your entire group the duration of your stay - but to get started!

We also provide one bath towel, hand towel and wash cloth for each guest that the unit sleeps, along with 2 dish towels. Should you wish to have additional housekeeping services during your stay or to have linen swaps during your stay, these can be arranged with advance notice upon request at an additional cost.

We charge $75 for approved dogs. There is a 2 dog maximum with a combined weight maximum of 60 pounds. We will ask you to send a picture of the dog to us before approving it. Due to insurance regulations of the owner, and no matter how cute they are, we are unable to approve full bred or mutts containing the blood line of any animal or breed identified as dangerous or vicious including pit bull, rotweiler, chow, shephard or doberman. Not all of our condos nor all complexes are dog friendly. For the few we manage that are dog friendly – it is dogs only, and no other animals. The fee does not apply to true service animals – though some of our units – due to owner allergies or other personal reasons – do not allow dogs regardless. While the comfort they provide is priceless, please note that as hosts of short term rentals – emotional support animals are not the same as a true service animal and only dogs are permitted and there is a fee for emotional support animals.

The complex charges $10 per day per vehicle as a resort/amenity/parking fee. This is not charged by us and is paid at the time of your arrival directly to the office of the complex.

We strive for 5-star reviews at all times - and the first part of that is notifying everyone of every cost they may incur so that there are no surprises. If during your stay with us you find any reason that you are not able to rate our service and the property a 5 star review based upon the description of the property, that the pictures accurately depict the property, or our courteous service - please let us know and give us the opportunity to turn that frown upside down and EARN your 5 star review.

There is currently construction going on in one building of the complex. This does not affect the condo you are reserving from us or any of the amities of the complex.

Galveston is a barrier island in Texas located on the Gulf of Mexico. From time to time we have unexpected rain, thunderstorms, and sometimes we do have tropical storms and hurricanes. From time to time there may be brief interruptions in electricity and WiFi services due to weather. You should consider purchasing trip interruption or cancelation protection through the platforms or another source. We are unable to guarantee sunny days, mosquito free nights and perfect weather, nor do we refund for these possibilities. We issue refunds in the event of mandatory evacuations issued by a governmental agency, or for the property being unavailable due to damages and extended power outages. Trip cancelation and interruption coverage is available through most booking platforms as well as through private vendors found on the world wide web should you wish to purchase such a policy.


After making your reservation you will receive a link to complete our renters agreement. The only information we request differently than the booking platforms (VRBO/AirBnB) is your personal email address, the names and ages of each person who will be in the property during your stay, and your driver’s license information as well as an emergency contact should we need to reach someone on your behalf. Thank you for completing this in a timely manner so that we may send you the check-in instructions for the property you have reserved.

For all reservations made directly through our website and through VRBO, there is a $300 security deposit “hold” required. You certainly can purchase trip cancellation/interruption coverage through those platforms as well if you so desire, this is a damage “deposit” hold. This is released once our housekeepers advise that the property has been left in the condition received with no damages occurring during your stay. This is not a charge, but a hold on the credit card on file with which the reservation is made. Should there be damages and they exceed $300 to repair or replace, you will be notified and asked to make arrangements to compensate for those items.

My Galveston Getaway cancellation policy: If your cancelation is received more than 30 days before your scheduled arrival date, there is a $100 cancelation fee, the remainder is refundable. If your reservation is cancelled 14-30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date there is a $100 cancelation fee, 50% of the remainder is refundable. If your cancelation is made between arrival and 13 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, there will be no refund issued.
