This was really a lovely place to stay. We had 3 adults and 3 kids and didn’t feel crowded. The balcony was large and the kitchen was well stocked. It had an excellent view of the pool area and the ocean. The pool below was kept incredibly clean. Every morning we saw people working the property cleaning. This condo is worth more than you pay for it. The walk to the beach was easy and literally took 4 minutes. Will definitely stay again.

We had such a great time staying at this property. It was a great view of the ocean and the pools. Our kids loved the place so much they wanted to move in! We will definitely be staying again!

Nice place to stay for quick getaway

Property is in a great location! Very close to seawall beach access, restaurants, and pleasure pier. Only issue with this property is the elevator was SUPER slow and hot! Also, there is no one around to regulate the noise from the large pool (people blasting loud music all day/night). Unit was accommodating for my family (3 adults and a one year old and two dogs). The unit was clean overall and beds were comfortable. Temperature was great and you did not need to even have thermostat set at 72 degrees! Floors could've been cleaned a bit better though, and dining al fresco was not an option this summer (way too hot!) - they did provide a folding table and chairs but it was more work to put up and away each morning so we didn't bother. Also, we definitely could've used more face and hand towels - one per bathroom aint gonna cut it if the unit sleeps more than 4. The unit itself could use some updating - cracks in floor tiles, lock on main sliding door didn't work, master bath door sticks (doesn't close properly) and stovetop coils were uneven.

Great place right on the beach

Perfect location

Birds in Paradise is the perfect family vacation spot. The swimming pools and location to the beach were just perfect for our family. The unit was nice, cool, and quiet. The views from the balcony were amazing and the perfect morning coffee spot. Would definitely come back again!

We were there for a dance competition at moody gardens

We like the location it was 1 mile for moody garden and easy to get back to quickly it was nice to bring the kids back after a long day Dancing to the heated pool for a swim and the bed were so soft and comfortable very clean and a nice view we will definitely stay again

Galveston Beach getaway

Beautifully re-decorated top to bottom 2 1/2 bed, two bath with a huge balcony. Loved everything about it! Would most definitely return.

Amazing view

Amazing view. Loved sitting on the spacious balcony and listening to the waves and watching the water. The balcony also overlooks the wonderful pools and property. There is construction right now on some of the buildings and I look forward to seeing the improvements The condo was decorated perfectly.

Loved "Birds of Paradise"!

I stayed at “Birds of Paradise” this past November. I loved the central location on the island, just walking distance to Jimmy’s restaurant, Magic Carpet mini golf, and a short drive to Galveston Island State Park. I found the condo to be warm, and well appointed, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. What I truly enjoyed most was the view of the gulf, pool, and resort grounds from the balcony. The view is quite spectacular, one of the best views on the island! We will definitely stay at this condo again!

Lovely Stay

The landscaping and pools are kept in pristine shape. The building itself is starting to show some age but is in the midsts of being renovated in some areas. Our unit was very clean and well appointed. The rope lights wrapped around the balcony railing need to be removed and replaced as they look like a fire hazard. Everything else was very lovely and we look forward to returning next year.

Absolutely wonderful!!!

I'm in Galveston and it was all thanks to this property and the property manager. From first Contact we were met with the professionalism and courtesy. The vacation rental manager was helpful in making recommendations with regard to shopping and places to eat. The complex was wonderful, and the condo itself was spacious, decorated very nicely, but not over the top like some we have seen where you are afraid to touch things, have everything we needed at our fingertips, and the beds were super comfortable. When we return to Galveston there is no one else we would call but my Galveston getaway, and we will request birds in Paradise again. We've already recommended it to our other friends who are looking for a fall stay in Galveston.

Okay Property

Overall was not impressed. Condo was on the small size for 7 people, pools were ICE cold (even heated one) nothing for kids to do had to walk down to the beach as it wasn’t beach front. No stores or shops within walking distance had to drive. Beds were HORRIBLE and broken down. Airplane and helicopter noise was daily and not made aware of.
