Beautiful House close to Beach

House was clean. Lots of comfy beds. Peer to the beach is rather long. Nearby parking lot you could drive or rent a golf cart but vehicles and golf carts are not allowed on beach. House key opens garage where there’s a canopy, umbrellas, beach chairs, wagon, sand castle stuff and grill. Wish I would have known. I wouldn’t have had to bring all of mine. Plenty of dishes although no cookie sheets, blender or mixer. WiFi worked really well. Ramp is steep but nice to have for coolers and ada compliant. One swing is missing but there’s a hammock on the bottom floor. That was nice. It was difficult to get a key to the neighborhood pool across the street. Had to call Ryson a few times and stop by the office. On day 3 Ryson delivered a key. Pool was refreshing. Picnic tables there. Spent a few hours in fresh water a few times. Overall we had a great time. Would stay there again.

Overall it’s a beautiful home and we enjoyed the stay. Location was excellent, the view was beautiful and it was a great set up. We loved the ramp up the house, even though it swayed at times, it was very convenient with little kids. I was excited about the other reviews stating the cleanliness, but that wasn’t the case for us. I did not expect it to be perfect, but the floors on the first floor were very sticky. Then the kids room with double bunks, there were ants along the bottom bunk beds and in the bottom beds and we had to move 2 of our kids to a different room since those beds couldn’t be used. It didn’t ruin our trip, but it was irritating.

Amazing views, beautiful property

We had three generations, 4 families staying for the week. This house was beautiful, comfortable, and well laid out for our group of 13, including 6 children. We had everything we needed. The views were spectacular. We were convenient to the beach. The lower level in the shade was a great play place for sidewalk chalk or games in the shade. Crabbing at night was an added bonus.

Multigenerational Family Vacation

Our stay was 13 family members ages 60 to age 1 1/2. So we had all ages. Over all we had an amazing time! We loved the house, it had a few minor areas of wear but it did not affect our stay. Everything was very clean and the air conditioning worked great! The ramp was so nice and made getting things upstairs much easier with stroller and wagons. The neighborhood was wonderful but it was a little too far from Galveston, as we like to go into town some days to do things. Some things that could have been better were the showers, water was way too hot and you couldn’t get it cooler. Front door lock/handle broke someone had to come fix it. The kitchen could use some updated things for baking and cooking. But again these did not ruin our trip. We were told probably no beach things for us to use so we brought all of that and there was a garage full of toys, tents, wagon, chairs everything you could want. Wish we had known that. Neighborhood pool across street was nice but we only made it over there once. The beach was nice as it was not crowded at all. The walk over makes it easy to get to beach with all your stuff. The only people that could drive on it was police, turtle patrol, and trash collection. So that was nice. We had an amazing time and made lots of memories!! We definitely would consider staying here again.

Labor day weekend

My family and I and a group of our friends had a great time at this house. Love how easy to access to beach is — and it’s one of the rare stretch of Galveston beaches that is car-free. The ramp up the house was very useful, and it’s a great layout for big groups with kids. Thanks for hosting us!

Good Value for Galveston

This house is in a great neighborhood in a great location at the end of a cul de sac near the beach access. The inside of the house was great, could use a rug or two but other than that is handled our crew. The downstairs has plenty of room to park and store your beach stuff. Would like a better water hose setup as everything we encountered was either broken or barely worked. Other than that the stay was great.
