Beautiful Townhouse, 3DBr-sleeps 6 Adults. Special & Unique in Galway City!

Located in the heart of Galway City, this 3-bedroomed Coach House is a beautiful contemporary private Townhouse sleeping 6 Adults in a tranquil and peaceful setting. Located So Close to the Town Centre which is just a 3- to 5-min walk from the house, local amenities are excellent. You have a beautiful home to return to at end of a long day out and about.

Tiny history: the The Coach House is our rebuild of a traditional carriage house that stood here since the mid-1800's. We worked hard to maintain stone finishes within and without the house. Beautiful now for its stone, glossy polished granite finihes within, and porcelain tiles throughout, underfloor heating completes some important comfort for our Guests, along with light-filled interiors, warmth & privacy.

• Delightful relaxing Sitting Room, superbly comfortable sofas, 40" TV, full WiFi and Cable TV service
• Spacious separate Kitchen just across fully fitted with all mod cons: all appliances: Neff stove/hob & oven, microwave, fridge/freezers, coffee maker, toaster, cooking pots & pans, dishwasher, full delph & glassware, utensils & cutlery
• Under-floor heating throughout, fabulous when weather is poor / winter months
• Utility Rm off Kitchen with Washing Machine, separate Dryer, extra fridge, extra freezer, worktop, suitcase storage, & presser iron for clothes
• Walk-in electric Power Shower off Utility Room, plus further WC & WHB
• Cloakroom / Boot Room off the hall

First Floor -
• 3 delightful Bedrooms upstairs, 2 with Superking beds, 1 with Twin Beds

Location, property, cleanliness, comfort, and on-site point of contact are stellar. Check-in was simple, even tho keybox was broken the day prior to arrival. Would not recommend for small or uncoordinated children, based on the marble and granite finishes. Ideal for multiple adults. Areas of potential improvement: The fireplace is apparently not functional (it was packed closed), so helpful either to have clarifying instructions or remove reference from the listing. There was no coffee grinder or maker (non-espresso), so maybe remove those references from the listing.Printed instructions on-site is super helpful, although it was outdated in important areas, so helpful to keep current or remove. Host's tone of communication was intense and felt both demanding and unhelpful. This may have been due to the fact that either host or VRBO apparently made an error and allowed us to book during a time the host did not want to have guests (although the host approved our booking request), and we did not accept the host's repeated suggestion to find alternative accommodations. We did not understand the request to wash all sinks and toilets. All other checkout requests were entirely reasonable and welcome. We appreciated the wine, cheese, crackers, and Tesco card that greeted us. The home is exceedingly well outfitted, including a juicer, fans, ample towels and closet space. Other than 3 items mentioned above, everything we needed, and more than we expected, was provided. Excellent!

This place is a gem! Clean, bright and cute with all amenities and walking distance to everything, yet privately tucked away. The hosts were accommodating and friendly and left nice welcoming touches. We had 3 couples in our party and it never felt cramped. Sehr schicke und luxuriöse Unterkunft. Im Ergeschoss Wohnzimmer und Küche mit Essbereich. Im 1. OG drei Schlafzimmer, davon eins mit 2 Einzelbetten und zwei Bäder. Alles in top Zustand. Sehr sauber. Man wird in Galway und Umkreis kaum etwas besseres finden. Sehr ruhig durch Lage in einem versteckten Hinterhof, null Verkehrslärm. 10 Gehminuten bis Innenstadt. Die Einfahrt in den Hof mit dem Auto ist wirklich sehr schmal, aber auch mit einem größeren Auto gerade noch passierbar. Man erhält eine sehr ausführliche und detaillierte Anfahrt- und Check-In-Beschreibung, mit der man keine Probleme hat, alles zu finden. Sehr netter und stets schneller Kontakt, wenn man vor Ort Fragen hat. Ich würde hier sofort wieder buchen.

The Coach House is a beautiful property within close walking distance to what you want to see in Galway. Not so close that the night time noise from the bars keeps you up, but just the right distance. Peter, the onsite attendant was responsive and helpful. Peter was an absolutely fantastic host! His communication was prompt, clear, and incredibly helpful, he was always quick to respond and provided all the information we needed without us even having to ask. Very nice townhouse. Good location. City center about 10 minute walk, and it’s even closer to some restaurants and pubs. Excellent safe neighborhood. There is a parking space but it is a challenge to get in and out of for larger cars. If you have a rental car, get the damage waiver because it is 50/50 you’ll scratch the side getting in or out on the concrete wall that lines the driveway. Washer/dryer was excellent. Very fast internet. The bathrooms were nice. One had a comfortable shower, one had a comfortable bathtub (no shower), and the third had a shower that could be used if needed. 5 minute walk to a supermarket, 1 minute to a pharmacy. Only downside was the unit retained heat. During the day the outside reached the mid 20s C and the house stayed very warm all day and night. The host supplied fans but they were not very effective. Two of the bedrooms had windows that could help unless it was raining. The third had a skylight only and was impossible to cool down at night. Three seasons a year this would be 5 stars but we had trouble sleeping in the summer because of the heat.

Overall very good, but a little quirky

First the quirky: Our accommodation was in a separate building behind the one in the ;picture. Off-street parking almost too narrow for our VW Tiguan to access. The 3rd bathroom is has a toilet, sink and shower, but the toilet is in the shower. We did not use that shower.That said, we loved our carriage house accommodation. It seems recently updated, with a great shower in the upstairs bath, and in the ensuite bath upstairs. Rooms very comfortable, kitchen modern and well stocked. Location is terrific, and easy walk to anywhere you want to go downtown. Fun shops, restaurants, take away, and pubs within 5-8 minutes. Very comfortable overall, and very safe and quiet.

First time in Galway

This house had everything we needed! The location provided easy access to city center with a fifteen minute walk. A grocery store was just around the block, so we were able to pop over if we needed anything. The hosts were quick to respond if contacted, and Peter, the manager, met us to check in and was excellent! Highly recommend!!!

Feels Like Home In Galway

A well appointed property within walking distance of many of Galway's famous sites. We had the most wonderful hosts and property manager. Possibly the best communication we have ever had. Highly recommend this property is you want to visit Galway and the sights of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Wonderful week in Galway

The Coach house was the perfect accommodation for our family during a week stay to visit our daughter studying at the University. Walking distance to all downtown has to offer and to the lively Salt Hill area, as well as a grocery store, pharmacy, and pub all just around the corner. The house was comfortable and welcoming, plenty of options for those that wanted to stay in and relax a bit before hitting the town. Liz and her team were fantastic to work with, communicated extremely well, and were just so welcoming. It really was perfect for our 6 person party.

Quiet listing just off the street was as advertised with wonderful heated floors and plenty of daylight. It's just far enough from Old Town that it is super quiet, but an easy walk for food and coffee. It is also fairly close to the Sea if you like an early morning run along the Ocean. Parking was easy, but head's up on the passage way as it is a bit narrow. We made it through with a full size SUV rental though. Landlords were quick to respond to questions and we really enjoyed our stay. Galway is wonderful

Never stayed in a place so sparkling clean. Very comfortable beds, three separate bedrooms, very quiet despite being only a very short walk to town center. Fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer available for use. Off-street parking for one car with prior arrangement.

Family get away

Property was perfect for us We loved the location and walked everywhere including to Galway university where my granddaughter is for this semester. Check in could be a little easier. Directions for taxi driver were very good but entrance through a driveway and courtyard was difficult at night particularly first night. Dark cloudy sky so no natural illumination

October Galway

This location for a city rental is unbeatable. Easy walking to the main city sites and pubs, local Tesco and other convenience stores, pharmacies and restaurants. And driving access to points north and west was also easy and we had wonderful day trips to Connamara, the Kylemore Abbey, Achill island the Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo. Won’t lie, it’s a bit scary getting in the narrow driveway with a larger car, but worth the off-street parking. The beds were new and comfy, kitchen well-appointed and lots of other conveniences provided. Very comfy living room. Wi-Fi worked well as some of us had to while away. Piter, the property manager is a gem and we really appreciated his going the extra mile to see to some special requests. Great city and time of year to be in Galway and be a send off point for west Ireland exploring.
