“Very nice and cozy place to stay. Very neat and friendly staff. Breakfast was nice and timely with spaced out restaurant with enough food, drinks and space for everyone.”

The house and property and gorgeous, the breakfast is big and delicious, and the programs that they run are great. I attended a Reiki circle that I found very helpful and relaxing. The shiatsu massage chairs are also excellent. I would return and I will recommend Rising Star!”

“Suite was homely and cozy, downtown Peterborough is fairly accessible by car, and convenience store right down the road. The property has a beautiful garden visible from the patio with lots of birds visiting for those into birdwatching. Host was knowledgeable about attractions in the area, recommending multiple places for us to visit.”

“They had microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator with freezer, TV, AC, heater, nice, clean, well maintained room though floor was sticky, their toilet were on septic system so can't flush toilet paper 1 toilet paper roll was given. Motel was located on highway and Rooms where accessible directly from outside no need to go through main door of main building.”

“The main problem is the round (not elongated) toilet bowl and its inconvenient location (too close to the wall). A strange case of hot water on the right and cold on the left in the faucets.”

“Loved everything! Never done B&B and I think I was spoiled. Spacious room, Nice bed, pillows, lighting, t.v, jacuzzi tub, or shower and an eclectic mix of items and paintings/photos to look at. Also you will not get breakfast like that at a hotel. Served when YOU are ready to eat. My kind of place. Martin and Petra are kind and direct hosts. If they were all like this I would NEVER stay in a hotel again.”

“The property was a short drive or cycle to the cycling trails we wanted to use. The breakfast was acceptable but the staff working the breakfast area were extremely helpful, polite and efficient. Much better than in other hotels where breakfast is offered. The front desk staff always polite and helpful. The restaurant next door to the hotel was recommended to us and had excellent food for reasonable prices. We chose to eat there for both our nights. We didn't use any other amenities.”

“Nice hotel. Breakfast included was ok Here’s the problem, the mattress was the worst I have ever slept on. It took me two hours to be able to stand straight up. Unfortunately this erased any enjoyment from staying here.”
