Since it was a hot spell, the thick curtains were drawn in our room to keep the room cool, which was a nice welcomed touch. “This place needs some really attention. The lock for the door pin was missing. Frame around the door near the latch it looked as someone must have tried to brake in or who knows. Ceiling has seing better days.. the room has no aircon which is fair enough, but leavening windows for air circulation the were some drink people on the square and you could hear them..I think I will stop now complaining as there are way to many things need looking”

“We had a fantastic stay at the butchers arms. They were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with another hotel and Andrew and his team couldn’t do enough for us. What a lovely place to stay. “Reception staff sullen; restaurant staff overrun, service slow. Food quality poor. Hotel looks good but otherwise nothing special. Shower awful - hot then cold, lost pressure during my shower. Grounds have some interesting photo opportunities for weddings but disjointed and tacky for any other time.”

“Receptionist was so rude on arrival she didn't know about our booking and made me sign a piece of paper with print too small to read before giving us the key to our room. Telling my concerned partner that it was something to do with being added to marketing list for emails. When we paid for our room my partner & I expected to be able to use all the facilities described on your website. However we arrived to find the hotel full of drunken wedding guests. Empty beer bottles were all over the place……
