"The goal of my trip was to attend a graduation at Colgate University. Hence, the one-night stay at the "Hampton Inn & Suites Cazenovia." Boy, how happy I was to have found this fantastic hotel! This hotel represents the jewel among thorns as it seems to be the only place that is standardized and attractive in Cazenovia . The bedroom is roomy and the bed comfortable; the bathroom is clean and cold and hot waters flow with no glitches for showers; there are a microwave, a small fridge, a sink for dishes, an iron, a spacious closet, and a wide-screen TV in the room. A really comfy room. In addition to the room, there is a pleasant pool to keep kids active. However, I found the hotel to be too pricey. Charging nearly $600 for one night still does not compute for me. I would suggest to Upper Management to start working on a more appropriate charge. "

"It’s a beautiful property on the lake. Walkable to town and we kayaked off the dock at the Inn and had drinks on their dock overlooking the water. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent. It’s an old home converted to an Inn so the rooms are not handicapped accessible so know you’ll need to climb stairs. Breakfast was continental with selection of muffins, cereals, cheeses. "

"The room was immaculate! The room is over the home's garage, but skylights make the space well lit. Comfortable, easy to find, woods all around- I would stay there again, for sure."

"I love staying at this beautiful, welcoming hotel. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The food from the pub downstairs is excellent. It's my first choice for every visit to that area. "

"The property is not waterfront, and I am not sure that it had access to the lake across the street, but the time of year kept that from being a problem. The area was pretty empty and quiet. The property had some work going on with some debris around. Inside had some work going on as well. No curtains would be a big problem had there been neighbors around, but since there weren't any, it worked out fine. The place hadn't been cleaned very well. There were dead flies on almost every windowsill. The entryway had a lot of dirt in it when we arrived, due to rain/wet shoes going up and down the stairs. There was also some shoe debris throughout the cabin. Not a big deal but having to pay an additional fee for dogs made the impression that this wouldn't have been the way that we found it. It wasn't horrible by any means. To be honest, with the wet ground outside, it made it more comfortable to go up and down. Made it feel like a lake cabin. The owner was contacted once when we arrived and again when we were leaving. Besides him asking once if we were good, we were left alone and really felt comfortable there."

"We stayed at this home for Colgate parent weekend. The house was immaculate and the home owner, Shawn, was very easy to work with. He offered us a late checkout and was happy to accommodate an early checkin. The experience was great."
