The Federal Pointe Inn of Gettysburg has so much history! It was originally constructed to be a school so the ceilings are extra high. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was large, but could have used better lighting. The bedrooms also lacked hooks for ease of hanging outer wear as the closet was located in the far end of the room away from the door. When we stayed, it was Easter Sunday so the restaurant and bar was closed, so we didn't get to enjoy restaurant/ bar, but we did walk through the area and it was very quaint and historic. Parking is available via a parking lot on site and there is a ramp to access the lobby. Overall the Federal Pointe Inn was a memorable experience and a great location to explore the rest of historic Gettysburg.

Felt historical and room was spacious. Tub was nice. Very convenient location to everything. Only thing is there’s no elevator so if you need that for accessibility, be prepared.

Everything about this majestic hotel was exceptional—truly a highlight of our journey home to Canada from Florida. Although we arrived several hours early, we were graciously welcomed the moment we stepped in (still dressed in summer clothes from a much warmer climate than the 5° temperature!). The friendly staff and owner, Mr. Monahan, made us feel immediately at home. Maggie at the front desk kindly explained the history of the building while escorting us through the impressive hall, beautifully decorated with period furnishings, to our large and charming room. The room was tastefully updated with modern touches—especially an excellent shower—while still preserving the historic character of the property. It truly felt like the perfect place to stay and immerse ourselves in the nostalgia of Gettysburg. We also enjoyed a wonderful supper at the pub restaurant conveniently located on the premises. A unique place to stay and certainly not to be missed. We will definitely look forward to visiting again!

Nice historic hotel within 10 minute walk to the center of Gettysburg. Everyone was very pleasant, the pub was cool downstairs and the rooms were nice. The only issue is that you can pretty much hear everything as the hotel is old.

First off.. This is not a "Hotel' . It's a boutique hotel with B&B feel. Old school with 10 to 12 rooms available. Each room was a class room. Very very cool. King size bed, Good cooling/heating system that's not too loud, Huge bathroom with beautiful morning sunlight!!!! The folks at the desk are charming upon arrival and they would give you a bit of history while walking you to your room. Any questions/directions you might have, they will go beyond helping you. My husband and I needed a quick getaway from the Philadelphia area and this was perfect!!! You can walk everywhere from here. On Googles map it might look like it's off the beaten path but it's not. One suggestion I would make to the hotel is that they offer robes for their baths, especially in the colder months. The room are large with high ceilings...at least on the first floor where we stayed.

The staff was always friendly and welcoming. The room was clean. We were on the first floor and the floor above us was VERY creaky, understandable for such an old building though. The pub food was delicious and the service was great. Everything is a short walk/drive with excellent restaurant options.

Hotel was very clean. Beds comfy. Coffee and tea in the lobby was ready early in the morning. Staff was very nice and helpful. We ate at the restaurant below...delicious. Would stay there again.

Per other reviews the room was very clean, beds were comfortable, room was very spacious. Staff was very courteous. But I can’t give this place 5 stars. There is no central lobby of any size to enjoy the ambiance, the road noise was surprisingly evident, the TV system was a couple of generations behind and there was a dehumidifier present in the room. Five stars means “close to perfect” for me and the Federal wasn’t quite there.

This inn is incredible. Historic but updated. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and make you feelso welcome. The pub has a wonderful atmosphere and the food is amazing! You can sit out on the porch and enjoy a drink if you want, or dine outside in the summer. It doesn't have an elevator so if you can't do stairs make sure to request a first floor room but don't let that stop you. I will definitely stay here when I visit Gettysburg. Well done!
