“My wife and I with our dog stayed here for our anniversary to take a break from modern life. The interior is very nice, cozy and clean. The outdoor shower was great. Only thing i could critique is that there isnt any well kept grass for the dog to potty. We still managed but if you have a picky pup it may be something to consider.”

“Nice place. Need some improvements on quality of bed and necessities to clean up kitchen. It was quiet and isolated. Host lives right next door but you don’t even know they are there.”

“We loved our time at this sweet cabin!! Even though it rained while there, we enjoyed time on the beautiful deck, watching the river. We were 5 minutes from Bastrop and enjoyed hiking in Bastrop State Park and eating downtown. The cabin had all of the supplies that we needed and more. I would definitely recommend this cabin and we will be back!!”

“The hou8se itself was extremely clean. And our host was extremely easy to contact. The house did have an ant infestation and we paid quite a bit of money for the property to have a pool, only to get there and the pool be almost disguisting. There were dead leaves and dirt on the bottom of the entire pool. I understand that the house is supposed to be completely accesible and it just didnt feel like we got a fair shake dealing with you guys.”

“This was our second stay and we absolutely love it out here. So peaceful and well accommodated. The hosts are the best I've ever worked with for vacation rentals. The property is so neat to explore. We brought our e-bikes this time and it made for some great rides as well as an easy trip to Buescher next door to ride the road to Bastrop. A+ vacation!!”

“Overall I enjoyed my stay but as feedback for this property owner, I feel obligated to let them know about some issues below: The unit could use some added attention to cleanliness. The bed linens (pillows, duvet) could use replacing and/or a really good washing. I had to use my own pillow because the pillows smelled like dirty hair and I had to turn the duvet upside down because one of the corners smelled like bad body odor. The bed sheets were clean, but the items contained in the clean linens……

“The cabins are quaint and adorable! Beautiful country setting with pasture animals around, yet close enough to town for a day of fun. Hosts were kind & accommodating! We loved our stay and will be back!”

“The house was nice and had just about everything we could have hoped for - enough trash bags, paper towels, plastic utensils and paper plates/bowls. Plenty of towels, soaps, etc. for the showers. Bob was accommodating and kind and let us check out a couple of hours late. There are just a few things we wish we had known before: 1) All of the rooms are connected! Each bedroom leads to another bedroom and another and so on. Along with that, not all rooms are on central AC making it hard to provide……

“The Howdy Ranch was everything we needed… From the moment we stepped foot on this property til the time we left it was perfect. The pictures and descriptions are true. The fridge and pantry were stocked with everything we needed and more. We enjoyed fishing, canoeing and exposing our pup to the cattle and deer that visited us each afternoon. Looking forward to visiting again soon.”
