"I never saw an image of the exterior of the building in the advertisement on Expedia. I never read that access to the upper floor was via a steep staircase which made carrying two suitcases to one’s room difficult. The place appears to be managed by the Wat Hotel next door but without access to the Wat’s facilities. The walls between the rooms were such that one could plainly hear conversations next door. The room was fine but the experience frankly disappointing."

"This was my favorite accommodation in Japan. It was very cozy and made me feel home. We had the Sennari room. There were 4 beds in two rooms but we only used two. There was a microwave, fridge, kitchen sink with dishes/soap, washer/dryer, kitchen table, sofa. It was two levels with bedrooms upstairs. We never saw our host. It was self check in with a code. "The property is historic, yet well renovated, so we were comfortable. They also provide tea and cups of noodles at no additional cost if guests need a snack. The biggest bonus is that it's a traditional Japanese house in a historic part of town, so staying there is a travel experience in itself. The small intersection the house is located at is even on the front cover of a tourist handout at the local TI office. We highly recommend it. "

"The apartment was close to the main station. Very accessible to the popular tourist spots. We were a family of 10 and the apartment suited us because it was complete of cookware, washer, beddings etc and they even lended us the vacuum cleaner. Junichi-san is very accommodating especially with he changes I had to make for my booking! I will definitely book again!"
