A quiet, relaxing cabin with a thoughtful and responsive host. It was a nice and comfortable spot to stay while exploring the close-by natural beauty of South Dakota and Wyoming.

Peaceful Cozy Cabin

My husband and I loved staying here for a few days. We had everything we needed. The fenced in yard was perfect for letting our dogs run and play. We loved sitting on the porch and watch the sunset and listen to the cows in the distance. We would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.

Beautiful location

Great cabin with beautiful 360 degree Wyoming views. Close to Devils Tower and not far from South Dakota black hills attractions. Would definitely recommend.

Host very pleasant, knowledgeable. Very clean cabin. Peaceful sitting on deck watching sunrise and sunset. Star gazing was awesome. Great location for driving to points of interest in the area.

Great for hunting

Great owner and simple hunting style cabin. Easy to get to and warm cabin kept very clean by owner. Owner provided personal contact info so connecting with him was very easy.

The cabin was perfect for us. We enjoyed the scenery, the night sky and the cows. The cabin had all the necessary amenities and remained comfortable day and night. Jay was a great host. Sundance had a couple of good restaurants.

Amazing getaway

We loved staying with Jay. He let us walk his dogs and was consistently willing to help or grab something if we needed it. The property is gorgeous, remote and so calming! Great spot and great host! Thanks!

Peaceful Wyoming Cabin

This cabin was a perfect “basecamp” for exploring the Black Hills of WY and SD, and the Grand Canyon of WY. We put in our time to explore the area for elk, deer, antelope and scenery. Early mornings and a lot of new roads got us fantastic sightings and views. Jay and Doc are fantastic hosts and we were very comfortable during our stay. Perfect location from town and away from crowds, this location left us wanting to explore more!

Peaceful, great neighbors. Jay was easy to work with....very accommodating! Better experience than trying to contact Vrbo staff regarding confusion on booking. Extra fees applied.

Dog Friendly

Whole house covered in dog hair , not an exaggeration in any way. Bath Towels, carpets, tables all covered in hair gross couldnt wait to get to next stop and take a shower.

Perfect Relaxing Getaway!

Jay's cabin is just as advertised online. Very peaceful setting. My wife and I used the cabin as home base after exploring SD & Wyoming during our day trips which included both the Black Hills of SD & WY along with the Big Horn Mountains. After exploring during the day, we enjoyed sitting on the deck with cocktail and watching the Whitetails come out of the Black Hills every evening about 30 minutes before dusk. Perfect way to enjoy the sunsets and then the stars. Thanks for sharing your cabin Jay.

Beautiful location!

Beautiful location! The cabin was small, but nicely done. It would work best with fewer occupants. We had 4 adults and 2 kids, it was pretty tight quarters. The owner was very nice, check-in was simple. Cleanliness was questionable. Rooms and bedding weren’t bad, but I would recommend providing your own pots and pans, coffee pot, and grill. We had fun with family but had to rethink our meals because we didn’t bring a grill or pots and pans - we had to get creative. It was what I expected from a rustic cabin. Incredibly beautiful area!!

Cozy renovated 1875 cabin.

Maybe Custer walked these hills, maybe stayed at this cabin?! Here for a basketball regional championship tournament but we were able to enjoy the area- nice walking/hiking, cozy warmth when inside- enjoyed the old school tv that was available! Watched shows from the 80’s- so refreshing compared to the junk on tv now! What tv service is it Jay- we’d love to know! Close to town/groceries but feels like you are “away”.

The cabin was cozy and has such wonderful views of the countryside. The old boards about the cabin felt like being a part of history. Loved sitting on the porch to soak it all in. Do wish there were some towel rods or hooks to hang up towels but the whole experience of Eyoming life was terrific; can’t be found in any hotel/motel

Hunting Trip

Quant, clean, and cozy, this cabin was the perfect place to stay while turkey hunting. Jay was super friendly, informative, and prompt to respond. The beds were clean and comfy, all amenities were there, and the atmosphere was peaceful.

Great spot for a getaway

Listing was exactly as described and expected, no issues with cleanliness or such, check in was simple. Lots of fresh air to take in and disconnect from reality. I don’t visit the same areas twice, but if I were to go back to this area I would book again.
