"The little house was exactly as described. It was very cute, spacious and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable and I’m picky about my bed! The train tracks are VERY close, but we enjoyed watching the trains go by. There were about 3 per night. The horns woke us but we were lulled back to sleep by the sound of the trains. The kitchen was well equipped but I suggest you bring your own spices if you plan to cook. The area is gorgeous and we were able to hike many trails throughout the park....

"We were traveling through the area on the way to the east coast and loved the location of this place! We hiked some of the trails in the state park across the street and drove to the national park about 20 minutes away. Lovely place and thankful it was pet friendly so we could bring along our dogs! "Great place close to interstate but quiet and a huge fenced in yard. If you have pets this is a gem. I will agree with another review it is a little tight getting our large pickup in the driveway entrance but it works. We will stay again when we are in the area."

"The property was perfect for a large group who were there to celebrate my daughter's wedding. The home had all needed amenities and so much room! It felt very homey and well loved. Everything was in good working order and all processes were uncomplicated. The owner was kind, professional and on site when we arrived. We loved the neighbors dog and had a great time. "My husband and I and our kids stayed in Gauley Bridge for two nights while my husband ran a 50 mile race - Highball to Thurmond. Cindy was a wonderful host and the property was perfect for us! The house is off of a main road but that didn’t bother us at all since there is a little access road in the back right on the river. Such beautiful views from the deck, which was brand new. "This cabin is great. From check in to check out everything was as stated and cabin was great. I would definitely stay here a again. Only a few miles from main entrance to New River Gorge, and Thurmond. Easy drive to all other parts of the National Park. We even got in a few State Parks and 1 Battlefield. "This stay was for our 10th anniversary. The cabin was fantastic. We loved the hot tub and the privacy. We had an issue where VRBO didn’t send us the the cabin number and correct code. We ended up arriving at 2am due an emergency delay in our trip. We contacted VRBO and they contacted our host. We felt bad for waking him at 2am, but he was able to give us the information we needed.
