And Finally - Staying with us is good for the environment!

While we appreciate this isn't everyone's priority, we recognise that tourism can be quite a carbon-intensive industry, and it's important to us that we do our best to reduce the impact we have on the environment, including everything that goes into running the Lodge; renting our home out and the inevitable impact of the journeys our guests make to come and stay here.

We want to do this without impacting anyone's experience of staying with us. In 2022, in addition to reducing our overall footprint through the use of renewable fuels; we pro-actively invested in the planting of mangrove and boreal forest trees in order to make the impact of renting of our home climate positive (carbon negative). We'll continue to do this and make further improvements where we can.

Very Large Lodge in Good Location
Very Clean, Quiet Area, Very Nice Hot Tub, All Amenities are very nice as well as the Alexa Controlled features. We will be booking again. It’s big enough that when just 4 of us stayed there that we could probably go a few hours without seeing anyone! Haha

A Precious Haven at Lazy Elk Cabin
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lazy Elk Cabin through VRBO, and we couldn't be more delighted with our experience. This charming cabin provided everything we needed and more for a truly memorable getaway. The cabin itself was not only aesthetically pleasing but also thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities one could wish for. It was a precious haven that allowed us to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life while simultaneously reconnecting as a family. The cozy atmosphere and well-designed layout contributed to a sense of comfort and relaxation throughout our stay. A highlight of our visit was the warm welcome we received from the hosts. They greeted us with a delightful welcome kit that added a personal touch to our arrival. These thoughtful gestures truly made a difference and set the tone for a fantastic stay. In summary, our time at Lazy Elk Cabin has been the best stay for us thus far. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with all the comforts of home. A heartfelt thank you to the hosts for creating such a special and memorable experience for our family. Gerry & Olga
