Super spot for a family holiday

We enjoyed a lovely week at this gorgeous farmhouse. The grounds are extensive and facilities are impressive. Our girls enjoyed the pool and the games room and we all enjoyed long leisurely meals around the dining table in the garden. We would not hesitate to recommend.

Family friendly fabulous property

Mark and Gill were super hosts from start to finish. The facilities at the property were outstanding - fabulous heated swimming pool; well equipped games room; comfortable, spacious, well appointed accommodation; provision of bicycles and other sports equipment; large garden set in a peaceful, rural, location. Near to cycle path, tennis court and interesting towns. It was perfect for our family who all had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended

French countryside stay

Wonderful stay in beautiful property with extensive grounds. All rooms are authentically decorated and impeccably maintained. The free cycles are a great addition making it easy to explore the local countryside, villages and vineyards (wine tasting). The large games room provided hours of entertainment and the lounge/dining room with log burner, a comfortable retreat for cosy autumn evenings. Gill & Mark are amazing welcoming hosts.

Fabulous brilliantly equipped house

We all absolutely loved our stay at Barrusclet. The house is spacious, very comfortable and brilliantly equipped, in a beautiful setting. The kids (ranging in age from 7-16) all absolutely loved it and made great use of the games room, the perfect pool and all the bikes. We enjoyed lovely bike rides to pretty villages, tennis and some great local markets. We highly recommend and hope to get back some time.

The greatest pool ever!

Gill and Mark were fabulous hosts. The house swallowed up 14 people spanning 3 generations easily. The facilities were faultless. Having so many bikes- even tag-a-longs and kids seats, was amazing and some lovely, quiet routes. But the pool is were we spent a lot of time. It's huge and warmed to the perfect temperature, we could hardly keep the kids out!

Beautiful house with a magnificent garden

We’ve really enjoyed the week at Barrusclet. The house is beautiful and it stayed nicely cool when it was quite hot outside. The kitchen is complete with glasses coffeemachine cutlery etc and therefore its easy to cook nice meals. The bedrooms and bathrooms have everything you need. The garden is amazing. The property is very child friendly. Mark and Gill are excellent hosts. They were friendly, helpful and very approachable. They arranged for example 4 baby cots for us and two baby chairs! Thank you for everything! We would love to come back someday!

Excellent hébergement

Nous sommes partis un groupe d’amis pour les fêtes de fin d’année.A notre arrivée nous avons été très agréablement surpris de la beauté du gîte de ses grands espaces et du confort.Nous n’avons pas eu en contact direct Mark et Gill mais étaient très réactif à toutes nos demandes et avec beaucoup de disponibilités et gentillesse.Touches également par les petites attentions de produits alimentaires et sanitaires.Malgré le mauvais temps le confort du gîte nous a permis de passer un excellent séjour.Merci à Mark et Gill nous recommandons vivement ce gîte.Bonne année à tous

Noël en famille

Excellente semaine de Noël avec nos 2 enfants et 6 petits enfants. Le temps n'était pas vraiment au rendez-vous mais nous avons beaucoup apprécié le gîte qui est spacieux confortable et bien équipé (billard ,baby foot, ping pong et la salle de musique ). Beaucoup de petits villages à découvrir autour de Gondrin et quelques balades en vélos prêtés par le propriétaire. Merci à Gill et Mark pour leur accueil avec la décoration du gîte pour Noël et leur panier garni . Merci également à eux pour leur disponibilité même s'ils n'étaient pas présents physiquement .Nous conseillons ce gîte même pour la période d'hiver .

Semaine familiale dans un univers reposant

Belle maison correspondant à nos attentes. Fonctionnelle , bonne distribution des pièces, rien ne manque dans cette maison confortable. Les propriétaires sont très attentifs à vos besoins. Nous y avons passé une excellente semaine malgré un temps mitigé.

Delightful holiday

Our party of 11 ranged in age from 2yrs to 84 yrs . The accommodation was superb and catered for all age groups . In the mid day sun the children would move from the pool to the house and watch a video or play pool in the brilliant games room. The bedrooms were all spacious and of equal quality . Having 20 plus bikes to choose from enabled many of us to explore the local countryside. We would definitely recommend Barrusclet and hope to return again . Thanks from the Carver family.

A perfect spot for a get together

We stayed here for a week at the end of July and were delighted by a typical French mas, set in the countryside. As a group of 17, from four families, we loved the space and didn’t feel we were on top of one another at all. There are some lovely views and little benches dotted around to enjoy them. Outside the kitchen there are two fabulous outside dining tables, which makes a bbq supper easy, and the kitchen is great. When it was hot we used a table in the shade for the kids. They were thrilled with the games room and the pool is a great size. Everything was clean and the hosts ensured we had everything set up to suit each part of our group, and other assistance on hand to monitor the pool robot cleaner. We went to the local market and really enjoyed the bikes on another venture. It was honestly very surprising that we managed a full group bike ride, borrowing everything available! We had a very relaxing week and loved our stay. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending.

A relaxing stay in beautiful accommodation

We had a great stay. The property is very well equipped and has a beautiful pool and gardens. The owners have thought of everything from board games, games room and a music room to British TV plus a fully equipped kitchen. The property is fairly remote, great for star gazing and sunsets. There isn't a huge amount to do locally, although we visited a water park and rope obstacle course, but if you want a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings, this accommodation is perfect.

Wonderful house in a great location

On the 3rd attempt (due to covid), we finally got to stay at this wonderful property, and we were all so glad that we did. The house contains everything that you may need or want for that perfect away from it all, relaxing holiday in France. The pool is perfect, just at the right temperature with plenty of space to relax around, the grounds in general are lovely to enjoy those wonderful al fresco evenings, or simply to unwind in the hammock or enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Mark & Gill are fabulous hosts, who went above and beyond for our family and for which we are eternally grateful.

Fantastic week in the French countryside

Myself, partner, three children and a number of their friends have just returned from a fantastic week in this lovely villa. Very spacious and well furnished, well-equipped kitchen and beautiful outdoor area could not ask for a better place to spend a week. Mark and Gill are excellent at communicating and quick to answer any questions and sort things out. A lot of bikes in good condition available to use (and a great 20km Car free, tarmac cycle/running/walking path about a mile from the house). Use of a tennis court, lovely villages definitely recommend visiting.

Great house, very well equipped, clean and spacious!!

We had a fantastic holiday in Barrusclet! The house is just amazing! Very well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen for a big group, 2 barbecues, bikes for all ages and styles ( around 20 bikes availabke!) hughe tables in different areas, pool also equipped with enough sun beds for everyone… bedrooms and bathrooms spacious and well equipped too, amazing garden with different areas for kids to play and parents to relax , with herbs and fruit trees… the mirabelles were delicious!!

Superbe maison de vacance

Nous avons passé un semaine de vacance dans cette superbe maison spacieuse, tres bien en materiel et sanitaire . La piscine est tres bien adaptée aux petits enfants, le jardin a plutôt une dimension de parc avec des jolies arbres et des fleurs magnifiques. La salle de jeux Est idéal peut les jours de pluie. Comme disait mon petit-fils: “ Pourqoui ne vient on pas habiter ici ?”

Que du bonheur !

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine en famille à Barrusclet. Les pièces sont spacieuses, la décoration est faite avec goût. Une rénovation d’exception. Le jardin et la piscine sont magnifiques et très bien entretenus. Et que dire de la vue sur la campagne gerçoise. La maison dispose de toutes les commodités pour passer d’excellentes vacances. Les produits de première nécessité sont fournis. Il y a même le gel douche….. Nous avons été ravis et enchantés. Gill et Mark ont toujours été disponibles et réactifs avant et pendant le séjour. Un grand merci à eux pour leur gentillesse. Juste parfait pour un séjour à la campagne calme et reposant.

Maison exceptionnelle pour un week-end entre amis

Mark et Gill sont des hôtes extrêmement accueillants et discrets qui ont pensé à tout pour rendre notre séjour agréable. La maison est splendide , décorée avec goût: rien ne manque!!! Les occupations et loisirs sont nombreux: autant à l'intérieur (salle de jeux, lecture, vidéo, musique...) qu'à l'extérieur (piscine chauffée, grande table de jardin, barbecue, promenades...). Excellent séjour. Nous recommandons vivement.

Une semaine de reve à la campagne

Vieille ferme merveilleusement retapée avec goût. Tres bien équipée aussi bien la cuisine, la salle de jeux ou la quantité incroyable de vélo a disposition. Piscine tres agréable. Calme absolu, dans une region superbe. Proprietaire aux petits soins. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit.
