Great weekend getaway

This home is a perfect place for a weekend getaway. Close to lots of hiking and being on the water with a beautiful deck was great. Had a great time with our family. The home has everything you need and the owner was very responsive. Will definitely come back!

Great family vacation home.

Reserving and communicating with Trey was fast and easy. The house was stocked full of useful items, including water toys for floating in the cove. The view was great and we used the dock for a rental pontoon. Highly recommend this home and location.

The house is set up very nicely with everything you need and fit our group of 6 well. Plenty of beds and space. Great location at the back of a quiet cove. The owner, Trey, is great to work with. Will definitely be booking with Trey again.

Family Lake Fun

Very special home. Honored to have a chance to stay. Perfect location with very comfortable accommodations. Lots a room for the family. Open slip for a boat with great fishing right off the dock. We caught Bass, Crappie, Bluegill and Catfish. The lake was beautiful, Spent 5 days floating around, exploring every part of the lake. Can’t wait to go back. Great home!

Trey’s place is wonderful, the house is gorgeous with plenty of room for everyone. The lake is beautiful, great for swimming and water fun. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need from cooking supplies to first aide. Trey is a gracious host and readily available to address any questions or concerns. We can’t wait to come back😊

Excellent stay

Perfect location for enjoying a few days with family and 2024 total eclipse. The home is a great summer playground on Lake of Egypt. Since we were here in April we were not able to take advantage of all the lake toys supplied. Would love to return in summer. Kitchen well stocked. Outstanding 6 burner grill for large groups. Overall, a great experience!

Perfect!

The place is awesome! The location on the lake is perfect, it's the best stocked kitchen of any VRBO I've ever stayed, and all the extra water toys were just icing on the cake. Trey was quick to respond to any questions we had and couldn't of been nicer. I would recommend this place to anybody looking to have a relaxing time on Lake of Egypt!

Family weekend

We visited this wonderful vacation home with our college-aged kids, and we loved it! It is right on the water with beautiful views, and an easy walk to the lake. The host provided everything you can imagine; truly this was the most well-stocked vacation home I've seen. The host was super available and helpful too. The home was comfy and welcoming and we enjoyed being there when we were not enjoying the lake. We are making this trip a yearly event and we all agreed we would love to come back to this home.

4th of July Weekend

Our family stayed for a long 4th of July Weekend. Everything was just as listed. Very clean, stocked with all necessities, in a great location on the lake, and plenty of room. Beautiful view!

Beds were very comfortable. Pull out couch not so much. The view from the deck is beautiful!!! Walk to dock is short and easy. The kitchen is stocked with condiments and spices, very helpful! Easy to check in and the owner responded within minutes when I texted him with a question.

Lake House of Your Dreams

What a beautiful spot! The house was neat and clean upon arrival. We found the beds and bedding so comfortable. Trey is an amazing host in terms of ease of communication (I texted him repeatedly and he was VERY patient with me.😉 ) and providing a well stocked pantry. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat. Thank you Trey!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Nn February we started looking for a rental property on a lake near Shawnee National Forest. We went to Vrbo because of the success we have had in the past. We founf d this property as it looked perfect, and it was ours within a day. It was perfect located on a cove of the lake, there was no boat traffic which let the kids to swim without boat wake. The owner had swim pad whivh was perfect for the little ones, paddle boards for the older ones. and a kayak. Everyone had a GREAT time and want to go back

Great property and Best Host Ever

Have rented a property about once a year for the last 10 years or so and this is the best experience of them all. Trey is a fantastic host. Not just responsive but proactive. The property is great. My family has many cooks and the kitchen exceeded our expectations. The only thing we had to improvise was a lemon zester. Comfy beds, great linens, even the air mattresses were first quality. Would rent again in a minute next time I am in the area.

Peaceful stay and many amenities

Long-term adult friend group with kids ranging from 10-16; we all LOVED it. On the water, beautiful deck and dock, large fire pit, swimming off the end with sandy/mossy bottom, great fishing/paddle boarding, with many supplies present. Bait shop about 10-mins away and the marina had a nice adult bar area and game room/pool table. Lots of opportunity to see wildlife and enjoy the blanket of quiet nature each morning. Kitchen was highly stocked, including a second frig in the basement. The beds were comfortable with lots of nice pillows. Lots of high end products from cleaning supplies to shower/bath products. Gas and charcoal grills were available! We plan to return:)

Hideout-super clean, private, relaxing

This is a wonderful home on a peaceful cove in the heart of a national forest. Nature was outside but never came inside this super clean home. Amazing! The thoughtful amentities could never be fully listed by Trey because they are too numerous. We loved the lake, paddle boards, docks, firepit, deck, beds and pillows. Internet service was outstanding and kept our family of 5 fully connected for personal and work needs!! The quirky layout of the lower level added to the charm and the 2nd surprising frig downstairs came in handy for beverage storage. Thank you Trey for sharing this home with us. If we are ever taking a trip to southern IL in the future we will absolutely select your home again. We miss it already!

The home was very well stocked and clean. The setting is beautiful and the view from the deck is beautiful. There is also a very nice sitting area around a fire pit that my family enjoyed very much. Several members of my family also got on the water using the paddle boards there. We didn't want to leave. We really enjoyed the house which has some unique features. It was a wonderful getaway. A note I do want to make: The driveway to the house is steeper than I though. Also, I booked it originally with the idea of taking my wheelchair bound husband, thinking it was wheelchair accessible from the parking area, but the ramp that is there would not have worked for him. The ramp has no railing and is too steep to take a 200 lb, 6' 3" man up. So that is a little misleading. Plus you have to go over rock to get to the ramp. My husband ended up not being able to go anyway, so it turned out fine for us. Overall, we loved the trip and would go back again!
