The hotel was very run down, but the staff was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was a bit on the short side. I got the feeling that the property had new owners and maybe there will be a renovation in the future. I really hope so because the location of the hotel is really nice.

As on many previous occasions, we’d like to highlight the hotel’s charming atmosphere and fantastic location – it really is something special! A bit of a shame about the breakfast this time, though. You get the bare essentials, but it would be much appreciated if, in the future, the scrambled eggs could actually taste like eggs.

I need of a new care taker

This is a sad example of someone buying a nice property and then run it into the ground. Wonderful location but zero maintenance. I hope someone will rescue this hotel

Worst experience

Pictures are from the property but 20 years ago! And since then, they have not done simplest renovation. No TV in the room, but wall mount was there with cables hanging. Dead cockroach on the floor. I will never ever go back

They do allow pets but they do charge about half the price of your stay on top of what you paid as a pet fee. The staff is really rude the food is not good and if you stay for an extended time they still don't offer clean towels or room cleaning so be prepared to buy your own cleaning supplies and do your own laundry. The location is pretty nice though.

Mixed experience

Needed a one night stay on a drive from Denmark to Norway and found this hotel on the internet. Hotel is worn down and not taken care of for quite some time. We saw fungus growing in the shower of the first room and made a call (no people in the reception!) - got a new room no questions asked - this was a little better (there was a bath tub) but no curtains at the window. Beds were clean, but the breakfast was not exactly inspiring. Kungälv seems to be a very nice place though and we had dinner at the italian restaurant nearby (Il Trulli) - this was nice.

Breakfast was bad, dry bread and instant coffee. Weird air drum noise going on and off at irregular times both day and night. Beautiful hotel but in very poor shape unfortunately. Very sweet and caring receptionists though.

Good price.

You get what you pay for. Small old room. No one to ask things. The parking was so small that I have to park in a public parking and pay for it. The scrambled eggs was very salty, the sausage was more like boiled than fried and there were no cream to the pancakes.
