Not what we expected
We booked this in November 2022. Researched it carefully: we like a washing machine and oven. Contacted the owner who assured us we had a fully equipped kitchen.
Emailed owner 3 days before to arrange arrival time & keys.Then Received email from VRBO-booking was cancelled! No reason given. Checked Other sites- No vacancies! Called, sms & VRBO messaged owner. No response. Contacted VRBO. They called owner, who hung up on them! Then owner contacted us saying it was computer error, please rebook. We did. Naturally, price was higher! Emailed owner, told us to contact VRBO. The owner sets the price, but they refunded the difference.
Arrived at designated time. Host advised apartment not ready, come back later. We complied.
Apartment is nice and clean. Bought food to cook in oven, clearly shown on pictures and description. Oven did not work. Either did fan extractor. Contacted host. She said oven has not worked for TWO YEARS, tells people this but FORGOT to tell us. We threw out our food.
There is a tiny bench top heater, totally unsuitable for cooking a meal.
Finally location. Description says it’s located near Calle Elvira. It’s not. It’s located straight on the street. Tiny street lined with Tapas bars and fast food outlets. From 11pm to 7am, HUNDREDS of partygoers descend on it. They scream, shout, argue, sing…. All at the tops of their voices!! It is RELENTLESS. If you love nightlife, good. If you want to sleep…AVOID. Never experienced this in 40 years travel.
