This is a small cabin that is fine for two people and is convenient to Grand Lake Village. It has a kitchen/eating area, living room, bathroom with shower, and a nice size bedroom. Heating is by a gas fired stove controlled by a wall thermostat and electric baseboard heating in each room. There is no air conditioning, nor is it likely required since Grand Lake is 8400 feet above sea level. We found that the gas stove keeps the whole cabin quite comfortable. Television service is through DirecTV, but there is no internet available. Cell phone service is adequate, and we used our cell phones as mobile hotspots for internet service. We got all the information we needed from the manager/owner, and she was extremely helpful with suggestions on where to eat. She highly recommended Sagebrush BBQ and Grill, and we found it to be clearly the best available. Over the four night stay we ate all but one meal at the Sagebrush. Big menu, excellent food. Hard to beat that combination. On the minus side, there are two support beams in the living room that are six feet above the floor. If you are taller than six feet, just be aware. It would also be nice if the couch was long enough to lay down on it. Also, the mattress and pillows on the queen size bed are memory foam. We did not find them particularly comfortable, but we realize many people like memory foam. Just a comment from our own preference. There also needs to be more than one wine glass available. For two people there needs to be at least four of anything in the kitchen to avoid having to clean dishes every day. Of course, no place is perfect for everyone. This cabin has a lot going for it and we would recommend it for a nice getaway.
