“We really enjoyed our weekend here. Quiet and secluded, but still very close to Grand Marais. A path just outside accesses a whole network of trails, we hiked to Pincushion Mountain. And the SHT connects here as well if you want to go further. The furnishings are simple in a very nice way; a folding table with two folding chairs, an electric kettle and a mini fridge are great for morning coffee or simple meals. “Perfect for a solo retreat! I needed some relaxing time alone in the woods (in a beautiful maple forest, no less), but still wanted to be somewhat close to civilization, and this was the spot! “Perfect location and wonderful base camp. Very cozy and loved the vibe of the bungalow. On the drive up we stopped at Great Lakes Candy Kitchen, Castle Danger Brewing and Palisade Head. The night of our stay we had a short walk into town skipped rocks at the beach then had dinner at Gunflint Tavern.The morning we chose to have breakfast at Blue Water Cafe.
