Unfortunately we didn’t get the experience we were hoping for with this highly rated property. Our check in process was very rocky and we could tell checking in that the staff member was very frustrated. Once getting checked in we entered our room to find another guest occupying the room and in the process of getting dressed. When we went back down to the front desk the staff member said “was there someone else in your room?”, making it obviously that he was concerned to begin with that this could be the case and it was very confusing for us. We were provided a simple apology with the blame being put on “first shift” and given a new room. We were able to speak to the manger the following morning who was very kind a provided us some compensation for the poor experience. This situation aside, we were very unimpressed with our room cleanliness. The floors in the kitchen were sticky, the carpet was dirty, there was something spilled on the floor throughout the bathroom and the pillows were stained. I’m not sure if it was standard for a two night stay or not, but we also never received any room service. The hotel was beautiful, but sadly we will be looking for other accommodations for our next stay.
