My mom needs a walker and there was no elevator. No bars to hold onto anywhere in the bathroom. Dining room was beautiful and good was very good. Debbie at the front desk was great when we checked in. Room was a little sparse-no TV just a bed and a dresser and a little noisy but hey, it’s an old heritage hotel.
My family and I had an amazing experience at this facility. From the check in to check out we had so much fun here. My kids had a blast getting a “history lesson” from the staff about the facility. They took time to make sure they heard all the stories about the past and all about the hotel and town. They gave us awesome recommendations on where to eat and gave us a map of what was around us and even gave us directions on local cemeteries to walk around. It was pouring and they provided us with umbrellas to walk around at night and we felt so safe doing so. The town itself is so cute both day and night and has just the right amount of shops and places to eat/drink for both families and couples. We stayed in the king suite and it was so beautifully remodeled with touches of the past and so comfy and cozy. We had a balcony with a view of the shops and at night the streets were so pretty! You really get a feel of what it was like in the 1800’s. What a great little overnight getaway! Highly recommend!
The parking was a challenge, Our room was small with no TV or refrigerator. I did love the shower. The restaurant was wonderful with live piano playing creating a wonderful atmosphere. It was just a bit expensive for how small the room was without breakfast included. They did provide coffee and wonderful muffins. Over all it was a great visit but am not sure if I would recommend for the price.
