The location is perfect, peaceful with great views, close to downtown. The cottage has spacious rooms. The only drawback - cleanliness. The bathroom was not cleaned appropriately, with some leftovers and hair. No soap, shampoo or some other necessary stuff. Would say not good value for money. Pretty pricey for such conditions.

Simple & Clean Cottage

We chose this cottage for our girls weekend and it was the right choice! The cottage was nice, clean and nothing too fancy. It was a great cottage for going on day trips because it's close to Bala. We mainly used the cottage to sleep, eat and hangout at night because it doesn't have a swimming area. The only thing I would mention is it doesn't have dishes, utensils or any other things needed to cook meals so make sure to bring everything you need for the kitchen. Otherwise, the cottage was awesome and the staff was extremely nice!

Underwhelming

Property has broken stove handle, not properly cleaned, no mattress covers, Bbq is rotted, there was no plates, cuttlery, glasses , pots ,.pans etc. The property was listed as having a Spa tub and there isn't one.

No beach access, not golf course adjacent false advertising. Oven was dirty, internet didn’t work. No cable, no coffee maker or dishes. Deck had leaves all over it upon arrival. Unfriendly staff. Would not recommend this cottage!

Huge disappointment with the cottage. I saw some of the bad reviews but just assumed it was city people looking for more comfort. Honestly, I agree with all the comments in the reviews. The smell and black mold was unbearable and gave me a big reaction. They have a mouse and carpenter ant problem. Mice kept us up all night. Bbq could not be used because there’s no bottom. The kitchen cabinets and what ever was provided in terms of dishes was sticky, dirty. Fire pit was not cleaned and a dirty plate was left behind. We didn’t want to sit on the dirty patio. I could have cleaned it to use it but there was nothing I could use to clean. Mice excrements were found on the futon. I folded the futon cover and left the mice excrements them to see. We only had bed sheets for the two beds but yet the reservation was for 5 people. Good thing we brought sleeping bags. The mattress had stains so we were pretty grossed out. Outside was not maintained so nothing to do other than use the marina dock. Would not recommend and will be complaining to Expedia, Vrbo.
