“Staff were fantastic, very welcoming. Room was amazing, everything was beyond expectations. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, biscuits, chocolate bar, sewing equipment, shoeshine and lots more were provided in our room. It was central to the beach and amenities and to top it off the the breakfast was delicious.”

“It was very shabby and it smelt bad. It is conveniently situated for the centre of Clacton but it was very noisy and so I didn't sleep well. There was very little space in the bathroom. They don't do breakfasts so I had to schlep round town in the heat trying to find somewhere. On a positive note the gentleman was very friendly and welcoming when I checked in.”

“The ground floor room was fine, with easy access to the parking area. The shower room was very clean and modern; the bedding was immaculate on a comfortable bed; it was a shame the carpet hadn't been vacuumed. We would have liked a small fridge and a second opening window as the weather was exceedingly hot, but we appreciated the air conditioning. “The hotel is a bit inconvenient unless you are driving. The cleanliness needs to be improved. ”

“The hotel is extremely well situated right on the front and close to the pier. It is currently undergoing some much-needed maintenance, leading to some unwelcome building noise and obstructions. There were a number of issues with our room, including a shower which would not drain properly, and dodgy wifi, leading also to problems with the TV. They did try to sort these out, but ultimately unsuccessfully. Service at breakfast was very poor. The self-service cereal etc table consisted of a single……

“Nice enough hotel but very tired and a bit out of the way. Moved here after one night in Premier Inn which was much nicer and better located. No breakfast option as far as we could tell.”
