"Stayed in the family cottage. While the facilities are a bit dated, the amenities are great and everything was put in place for us to have a comfortable stay. Beautiful property to visit, walk around, dine, see ostriches, etc."

"A hidden gem in Prince Albert. My night at the Swartberg Hotel was a highlight. It blends that Karoo charm with nice modern touches. The rooms are comfortable, the gardens and heritage feel are really special, and the staff were warm and genuinely welcoming. Dinner was excellent, local flavours especially the lamb, relaxed atmosphere, all very Karoo. Perfectly placed for exploring the pass, but also a place you just want to slow down and enjoy. I’d happily recommend it to anyone."

"We stayed 2 nights in May. The accomodation was comfortable but dark. The food was superb The game drives were great. Wrap up warm on a morning it's cold. The pool was cold so we didn't use it. The sun loungers were comfortable. All staff friendly and the animals were great."
