St Mary's church. St Mary's C18 red-brick tower > 920077 was built onto the foundations of a medieval tower; the tower survived a fire that destroyed most of the church building in December 1891. A large field This field is located beside Smee Road; it extends all the way to the outskirts of the village of Great Plumstead further to the north (in the adjacent grid square), which can be seen in the distance. The straw is still waiting to be baled.

I stayed here some years ago and was very impressed, however it is very tired and dated now, they are doing some renovations in some areas. Definitely not worth the money at the moment.

Beautiful old hotel in an excellent location for the city centre! We stayed in the Surlingham junior suite and the room was big and so full of character we absolutely loved it! The staff were so friendly and helpful and we would totally recommend staying here!
