Our visit to beautiful Chania was made unforgettable by staying in this gorgeous condo with every amenity possible ! The kitchen is well stocked for entertaining - every bedroom has an ensuite that is spacious and modern - the laundry machine washes and dries ! This condos location is perfect - a short walk to fabulous restaurants, museums, attractions and of course the beach and marina areas. We thoroughly enjoyed the rooftop outdoor space and the hot tub jacuzzi with views of the sea and the mountains. The wood burning fireplace was an added bonus. We felt safe and cared for during our stay, especially from Evelyn’s family who generously treated us to local delicious treats. We highly recommend Evelyn’s House !

Excellent visit to Crete!
This property was clean, had great locations, and was fully stocked. The owner was responsive and met us onsite to review the features. The linens were of high quality. Including the towels. And plenty to go around. The sunsets and sunrises were amazing! We walked everywhere from the house location. For longer trips out of town, we took a rental car. A great time was had by all - and we would go back!

Perfect Location
Overall nice property in a great location. Parking under home is tight and was not able to fit our larger rental, however there was no problem finding on street parking each evening. Hot tub temperature was not turned up properly by the cleaning staff so we were unable to use it the first evening, however owner was very apologetic. We were welcomed by the owner's mom who explained everything. There was also a nice bottle of wine waiting for us.

Fabulous stay in Chania
We have stayed in many rental properties. Evelyn's house had the greatest attention to guest comfort. There were electric plugs for all appliances. Coffee maker inclusive of pods, hair dryer and curling iron, monogrammed towels and robe. Tons of travel guides and recommendations. Cant recommend this rental enough. Well done

Welcome to Crete
We were greeted by Evelyns father who showed us where the elevator was, There where 6 of us and we were very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub on the roof in evening which was very pleasant. Some of the amenities which we were pleased and surprised to see were numerous charging stations and adapters, an ice making machine, extra towels, bathrobes. The apartment was nicely furnished and very comfortable, with a bathroom in each bedroom. We enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again.

House for a group
The property was absolutely perfect. We were 3 couples, family and friends, it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The rooftop was nice for the days or nights we simply wanted to have a stay in gathering, the views are beautiful. Evelina, the owner , thought about everything, well organized, she even had accessories for our beach days like the chairs, umbrella, and cooler. She brought us homemade spinach and cheese pies, the perfect hostess. The location is walking distance (15-20 min) to town where you can find restaurants, shops, live entertainment. I would absolutely recommend this place in a heart beat. Thank you Evelina.

Fantastic property in a fantastic location
Evelyn’s House was even more beautiful than we expected from the photos! There were so many little touches that made our stay comfortable - beach bags, umbrellas, fully stocked kitchen, etc. The location made it so easy to walk to the mini-market, Old Town, the harbor, and many waterfront restaurants. For excursions, we were usually picked up at the Hotel Irida which was less than a block away. The neighborhood was very quiet, and there is no more relaxing place than the rooftop terrace of Evelyn’s House! Make sure to catch the sunrises and sunsets. Evelyn answered all of questions promptly, and her mom was an outstanding welcoming party!

Exquisite property in Chania
This property offers all you could need in a stay on Crete, it is close to the old Venetian harbor and old town (about a 20 minute walk). There is plenty of room to spread out and while we were only 4 it could easley accommodate two families. The host made some restaurant recommendations as well as all sorts of recommendations for daily excursions, she even went so far as to arrange transportation from the airport on arrival and to the airport on departure.

Lovely villa in a fascinating town
Four adults over 60 enjoyed the property and all Chania has to offer. The only small improvement we can suggest is that the living room could be more comfortable.. there was only a small couch and one large chair, and both were extremely low to the floor. It was difficult to get in and out of such low furniture given our age. And since there were 4 of us, one more chair would have been nice. We loved the hot tub and alll the beds were comfortable. The location was great and the place was spotless.

On the contrary, they all indulge themselves in this modern and pricey Italian made ( calligaris brandname) luxury!However, all views are acceptable!

Wonderful property in the perfect location
Myself and 6 friends stayed at this lovely property in the perfect location for visiting Chania, Greece. A short walk to the sea front and incredible restaurants, and a perfect central base for a visit to Chania. We arrived late in the evening due to our ferry being late, but Evelyn’s very gracious mother was there to greet us and show us around the apartment. Evelyn’s home was perfect for our 7 day stay. Each bedroom has a balcony with amazing views and an ensuite. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms spotlessly clean. Due to warm weather we were able to take advantage of the great roof top deck with its jacuzzi and beautiful views. It was a 5 minute walk to the sea front with an abundance of restaurants, the old town and Venetian port. A handful of restaurants were also within a short walk along with a mini market and bakery just up the road. Evelyn’s also has a washer/dryer and parking in the garage for one car, although there was plenty of available parking on the street. If I were to stay again in Chania, I would definitely stay at Evelyn’s.

Location..Location…Location and a whole lot more
6 adults spent 10 glorious days in Chania and could not have asked for more perfect accommodations. Evelyn’s house was ideal. The pictures do not do it justice. Each bedroom has a balcony with amazing views and an ensuite. The beds were as comfortable as any high end hotel we have stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, spacious and located in an area that was literally a 3-5 minutes walk to a few really good restaurants, market, bakery and the most charming little beaches. An easy 15 minute stroll to the Venetian harbour and endless waterfront tavernas and shops. Evelyn was the perfect host. She responded quickly to my endless emails prior to our trip and throughout our stay. Her mother was at the apartment to greet us when we arrived late after a flight delay and kindly walked us through the place and explained every detail. A welcome bottle of wine awaited us which was a lovely touch. Chania is a charming place and Evelyn's house is the icing on the cake. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else should we be fortunate enough to visit again.

Rooftop jacuzzi with a view!
Very modern, comfortable home, with extras provided to make one’s stay feel more homelike. (robes, slippers, nice linens) The a/c worked beautifully, showers had excellent water pressure, and the washing machine was newer with a dry setting. One of the bedrooms had a nice relaxing mountain view. The best feature was the rooftop with the jacuzzi, view of the ocean, city, and mountains. Check-in/check-out was easy with a parking garage. It’s steep getting out of the driveway, but parking on the street was never an issue. Quiet neighborhood, and an easy 10 minute walk to the center of Chania. We loved the restaurant, “Blue”, an easy 5 minute walk from the apartment. It was a pleasure to work with Evelyn, and we would happily return again.

Lovely week in Chania
Evelyn's House is lovely - spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need. The old town is only a 15-minute walk away, and there are nearby shops and supermarkets. Evelyn was quick to respond to all our messages, before and during our stay, and very helpful with recommendations and tips. I would recommend hiring a car to make the most of the attractions Crete has to offer, especially if you want to go to the beach. All in all, we've had a great week and Evelyn's House is great!!

Fantastic five days in Chania

With 3 bedrooms each with a balcony, a complete kitchen, spacious living and dining area, and rooftop patio, Evelyn's House provided a very comfortable place from which to explore beautiful Crete. Be aware that while the small elevator can save climbing one flight of stairs, there are stairs to get to the bedrooms and more to the rooftop patio.

Perfect Winter Break
My wife and I, along with my daughter, son and daughter in law stayed in Evelyn's house for three weeks over the Christmas and New Years holidays. The property's location is perfect. An easy and safe 15 minute walk to central Chania, where the winter off season means few tourists but still lots of food and shopping options. An hour to the snow capped mountains to the south, and 2 blocks to the water to the north. Plenty of on street parking, since you are far enough outside central Chania to avoid the congestion. Plenty of food and grocery options nearby, as well as pharmacies, donut shops, coffee shops, crepe shops, etc etc etc. The house lays out perfectly for a small group. 3 bedrooms upstairs, and the 1 downstairs just outside the front door. All 4 bedrooms have their own bathrooms, with some showers larger than others. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook, although we mostly had breakfast at home, and dinner out on the town. Pretty sure it was 2 dinners at home, 19 out on the town at one of the many excellent and affordable restaurants in Chania. Plenty of support from Evelyn and her sister, but not so much that it felt intrusive. All in all a perfect home for a perfect winter break. If you are trying to decide where to stay in Crete, Evelyn's house is a fantastic choice.

What an amazing place!!!
Wow !! This place was amazing! Great neighborhood, very spacious and clean, all bedrooms have their own bathrooms and balcony , and the most awesome thing was the rooftop hot tub where we spent most of our evenings . The rooftop is equipped with great outdoor furniture ( beach chairs, couches tables and of course the hot tub , with awesome views of the water and mountains , it’s like a little resort in itself . Evelyn the owner was great , she and her parents welcomed us in their home like our family and were there every time we needed anything or any information answered, communication was great and very easy ! The city center Of Chania is a 10 min walk ( no need for taxi or bus ) with lots of restaurants, shops and markets . Also you can walk to city center along the waters edge which is also full of restaurants and coffee shops along the way. Chania is a beautiful city with lots of charm and great food and very friendly people. Perfect in every way!
Thank you so much for allowing us the use of this apartment. It was perfect. Fabulous roof top terrace overlooking Chania and the sea. The en-suite rooms worked perfectly for everyone and the studio was excellent for my mum as it gave her some privacy and meant she didn’t have to use the stairs. The kitchen facilities were brilliant and we were able to eat in a couple of times. The coffee machine was the best! Evelyn and her family were available whenever we needed her and came to our rescue when we locked ourselves out. She also provided lots of information before we arrived about Chania and the local beaches. We all loved the apartment and facilities and would highly recommend!

Evelyn’s House is everything noted in previous reviews and more! Evelyn was very responsive when contacted, from the original booking to questions prior to and during our stay. The house is bright and spotless. The attention to detail in regards to amenities, appliances (washer was so easy to use which is not an easy thing to find in many European countries 😊), available drying racks, water bottles in refrigerator along with a good stock of dishes and cookware was amazing. Evelyn also provided lots of information about the area just prior to our arrival which was helpful. We loved the rooftop terrace and were disappointed when our stay was cut short due to a ferry cancellation as we did not get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked. We did not have a car during our stay and quite honestly did not feel the need however a garage on the lower level is available should you have a car while there. The house is located in a wonderful residential area about a 15 minute walk from the Old Town. There were ample shops in the area (great bakery!) for breakfast essentials and snacks. The walk back to the apartment at night was welcome exercise after the large dinners we had in the Old Town. While we have many destinations on our bucket list and usually tick them off as we travel, Chania and Evelyn’s House are staying on the list as we truly hope to revisit again as we loved the city as well as the accommodations. We hope the next time we will be able to stay a bit longer. I highly recommend Evelyn’s House and Evelyn as the consumate host. Thank you, Evelyn, for sharing your house with us!

A wonderful apartment with a great host
We had such a great stay here - 4 adults and 2 children. Evelyn thought of everything to make our stay special - we even had a pushchair and a beautiful cot for our 18 month old, plus wine and fruit on arrival. The apartment is located around 10mins away from the beautiful harbour, but via a great walk along the seafront. The apartment has everything you could need and the view from the hot tub is dreamy. I generally don’t like to return to the same place twice as I always think there is so much of the world to see, but I hope to come back here again!

Evelyn's House exceeded our expectations. It's a great location that's a short walk to excellent restaurants and Old Town Chania. And Evelyn is the best host. Her brother in law was waiting to greet us and show us the property, and when we had a question about the espresso maker, the family didn't rest until they had it working! The house is well appointed, with everything you'll need -- fluffy towels, bathrobes, a washer/dryer, just for starters. Evelyn will give you pages of recommendations and travel advice, which we used and appreciated.

We loved the flat. It was just perfect for us 8. A granny, two parents and 5 grandchildren aged from 27 to 13. The accommodation was excellent, with a shower with each room. Gemma aged 13 slept very comfortably on the sofa bed so Granny could have her own space! We loved the roof terrace and jacuzzi with amazing views. It was an excellent location. A short stroll to the seafront and close to shops and restaurants. Evelyn provided us with wonderful sheets of information about shops and reaurants and possible excursions. This was an enormous help.

Lovely apartment close to old town and centre
My family (2 adults & 2 children) stayed in August 2018. We were joined by a couple of friends for one week. The appartment was spotless and was similar to a hotel in that toiletries, loo roll, towels, bath robes, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid were provided and a cleaner came every 3 days to change the beds, hoover the floor etc. Evelyn met us on arrival and was quick to respond when we had either questions or a problem. E.g. She had her handyman round to resolve an issue with one of the air conditioning units within the hour! One bedroom/ensuite has its own entrance just outside the entrance to the main apartment. Very nice but you do need to remember your key to come and go between your room and the rest. The appartment is light and bright with loads of windows, each with blinds and shutters. To access the roof top terrace you have to go through the 4th bedroom which may be an issue for some, but wasn't for us. The shower space in the 4th bedroom is also a little tight, but the other 3 showers are large. Sunsets from the roof top terrace are just lovely and it's a nice place to relax and have a drink. We didn't really use the hot tub (we preferred swimming in the cool sea) but I think it would come into its own in spring and autumn. Location wise it's 15minutes to either the edge of the old town or the market. The old town and harbour are beautiful with load of places to eat and shops to visit! There are also shops 5 minutes round the corner for essential food/drink if you want to eat in. We hired a car for the fortnight so we could see the sights. If you are staying for a week and happy to stay local you could get away using bus or taxi.

We spent a few days at Evelyn's House July 2018. The rental process through VRBO went smoothly. Upon arrival, Evelyn met us to handover keys and review the property - she was lovely! She left us with a big bowl of fruit and a bottle of Cretan wine. The home easily accommodated our large group. Each bedroom had an en-suite bath and AC which was great for those hot summer nights. The beds were super comfortable. It was fun hanging out on the roof top deck in the evening. The location is great, walking distance to The Dikasteria rotary with grocery, pharmacy, restaurants & coffee along the way. Walking along the water in the other direction leads you to the Lymani (Old Harbor) with tons of restaurants, shops and cafes. We travel to Chania often as we have family there - all the info Evelyn provided (restaurants, day trips, beaches, etc) were spot on - lots of our favorites were listed! We would highly recommend staying at Evelyn's House!

Fantastic
We had a wonderful stay in Evelyn's house. It literally was a home away from home. We traveled with 3 of our young adult children. - Of the 5 different places we stayed during our recent trip to Greece, Evelyn's House was clearly our favorite. - The house is new, beautiful and well designed. Plenty of electrical outlets for today's travelers with multiple devices. The top floor with the hot tub and lounge chairs is a true gem. The hot tub felt like heaven after hiking the Samaria Gorge. - The house is fantastically furnished. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen appliances are top notch and serving dishes and wine glasses are nice. Bathrobes and towels are luxurious. - The location is great. It is one block off the Main Street so it is easy to find. Mini market is about 4 blocks away. It is walking distance to the old city, but far enough away that you're not in the middle of the traffic. And the view of the sea from the top floor is great. - Evelyn and her family are great hosts. She responds quickly and professionally to inquiries. We arrived on a Sunday and needed help with some other travel arrangements due to a strike. They directed us to a travel agency that was open that day so we were able to quickly take care of the problem. - The only negative issues we encountered with the house were very minor. A circuit breaker tripped a couple of times which was easily reset. Wi-fi was limited in the "mother-in-law's" suite. The entrance to the top floor is only accessible through one of the bedrooms. None of these issues posed a problem for us. - Chania is an enchanting city and Evelyn's House is a great place to stay and use as a base to explore the city and Western Crete. We look forward to going back and we have warmly recommended Evelyn's House to our friends.

Amazing property with stunning roof terrace
We are 4 mature friends and have just returned from staying in this lovely house. It was exactly as described with extra little touches that made it even more special from the monogrammed bed linen and towels to the luxury toiletries. All essentials were provided and fully air conditioned rooms were a blessing as it was very hot while we were there. The rooftop terrace was a fabulous place to relax or have that pre dinner drink. Although we never met Evelyn, she provided all information in advance via email so we could plan ahead and her family who lived close by were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend this property.
