The essence of holidays.

We've spent one week of our three weeks vacations there and it was totally great time! We asked for self check-in and we've passed the process very smoothly. The house was exactly as we expected: spacious, well designed and decorated according to our taste. The fridge was full of basic food like eggs, milk, butter, cornflakes, cheese, bread, but also tidbits like honey, fruits, wine, juice,olives and the best cookies ever. We've been able to refresh ourselves very quickly and land on the most fantastic beach in a minute. It was a descent piece of land for almost private use. In the middle of high season maximum 8-10 people was there. Swimming and jumping to the water from the rock was fantastic even on windy days. Only the last day was shortened by the sudden invasion of gelly fish. On the down side: maybe the neighbourhood of unfinished construction, which is very close and dominating, but considering all the advantages of this amazing place you start to ignore and even accept it very soon. The true is that the house, the beach and absolutely unique owners, who took care of us will stay in our hearts for a long long time. Thank you Penelope and your amazing Mom!

A vacation home abroad in a wonderful location

Wonderful location of this lovely House. We enjoyed the privacy and quietness of the area, and to have almost a private beach, and the nice shaded lunch / diner area with such a unique view on the sea. Easy access to Chora with a car.

Traumurlaub in schweren Zeiten

Wir verbrachten trotz der schweren Zeiten in ganz Europa bezĂŒglich der Corona Pandemie einen traumhaften Urlaub in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Einsam und total ruhig konnten wir nicht nur das schöne Haus, sondern auch die private Bucht mit dem tĂŒrkis blauen Meer genießen. In Kikis Taverne gleich um die Ecke schmeckte auch der Wein und das Essen vorzĂŒglich. Rundum ein gelungener Urlaub.

Tolles Haus an toller Bucht von sehr netter Vermieterin!

Sehr schönes Haus an traumhafter Bucht und sehr nette Betreuung durch EigentĂŒmerin. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Haus und haben uns wohl gefĂŒhlt. Die Fotos tĂ€uschen zwar ein bisschen, da man den Eindruck hat, dass das Haus recht einsam steht, was nicht der Fall ist (ein unbewohntes HĂ€uschen befindet sich in unmittelbarer NĂ€he und eine grĂ¶ĂŸere Bauruine auf der anderen Seite), aber es war nicht störend. Der Privatweg zur Traumbucht war das Beste! Diesen Strand haben noch zwei andere Ferienanlagen genutzt (ebenfalls mit Privatweg), sodass man den Strand nur mit ein paar anderen GĂ€sten (es waren nie mehr als 15 Personen) teilen musste. :-) Zum Schwimmen und Schnorcheln ist die Bucht bestens geeignet. Leider hatten wir Mitte Sept 4 sehr krĂ€ftige Sturmtage (mit ca. 40-70km Windböen), sodass wir an diesen Tagen den Strand und die Terrassen nicht nutzen konnten, da es zu stĂŒrmisch war und es ums Haus pfiff. Wegen seiner gehobenen Lage ist das Haus daher an Windtagen weniger ideal, aber an ruhigen Tagen ein absoluter Traum, mit tollem Blick aufs Meer!! Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit der Besitzerin Penelope und ihrer Mutter. Sie waren jederzeit erreichbar und halfen, wo sie konnten. Auch war das Haus gut ausgestattet, es gab Klopapier etc., Blumen zur BegrĂŒĂŸung und auch ein paar Willkommenslebensmittel - das war schon sehr großzĂŒgig und ist eher selten sonst bei FerienhĂ€usern! Leider hatten wir drei grĂ¶ĂŸere StromausfĂ€lle (auf der Insel generell gab es partiell diese AusfĂ€lle), was das erste Mal noch lustig war, dann aber nervte, da nichts mehr funktionierte (KĂŒhlschrank etc.), auch auch kein Wasser mehr kam. Einmal waren wir mitten im Kochen, als es passierte. Wir haben Penelope daher nahegelegt, sich einen Generator fĂŒr solche FĂ€lle anzuschaffen und sie hat versichert, das tun zu wollen. Wenn der dann da ist, können wir das Haus wĂ€rmstens empfehlen. :-) Das WLAN funktionierte ganz gut. Vom Flughafen sind es ca. 10-15 Min Fahrt. In die Stadt fĂ€hrt man ebenfalls 15 Min. Tipps: Als Autovermietung empfehlen wir Enterprise. Sie haben zwar keinen extra Flughafenschalter, können aber zu Fuss in 3 Min erreicht werden und sind preislich attraktiv und sehr unkompliziert. Die SupermĂ€rkte sind relativ teuer, aber haben eine gute Auswahl. Wir empfehlen die Restaurants auf dem Marktplatz in der Stadt Ano Mera und den Ausflug auf die Nachbarinsel Delos (sollte aber nicht zu windig sein wegen der Überfahrt, falls man da empfindlich ist).

Authentisches griechisches. Ferienhaus in traumbucht

Sehr gemĂŒtliches haus, authentisch, sauber. Perfekt fĂŒr 4 personen. Der direkte strandzugang zu einer traumhaften einsamen bucht im norden war das beste. Allerdings hatten wir im august einen starken wind, daher konnten wir die aussenterasse zum meer hin nicht nutzen. Aber dir andere terasse war super und windstill. Penelope und ihre mutter Waren stets um unser wohl besorgt und hatten gute tips parat. Danke fĂŒr die tollen und erholsamen tage! Susanne und familie

Fabulous Location

We had 3 wonderful weeks on Penelope’s beautiful Property! Great house with great taste and lots of love for details, wonderful and very helpful hosts who not only filled the refrigerator upon arrival but also organized lovely flowers and gave helpful tips for things to do and see. The beach located only a few steps from the house is very relaxing and one of the nicest ones the Island has to offer. It couldn’t have been more perfect!

Wunderbare Ruhe am tollen Strand

Das Haus hat eine wunderbare Lage und strahlt eine ganz besondere Ruhe aus. Vier Terrassen, von zwei Dachterrassen und eine Terrasse zum Meer hin. Wir haben uns in dem Haus unglaublich wohlgefĂŒhlt und denken gerne an jeden Tag zurĂŒck. Die Vermieterin ist sehr, sehr nett. Das Haus hat Zugang zu einem kleinen, aber sehr schönen Strand, welcher nur noch von einer anderen kleinen Anlage genutzt wird. Wir waren praktisch alleine am Strand. In LaufnĂ€he ist auch noch der schöne Strand Agios Sostis. Da liegt auch noch Kikis Taverne mit prima Essen. Unbedingt mal hingehen.

Das war ein Traumhaus, an einem traumhaft schönen Ort. Noch viel schöner als auf den Bildern. Die Vermieterin so persönlich und nett, wir haben uns sehr ZUHAUSE gefĂŒhlt. Das allerschönste ist der kleine Strand mit Privatzugang.
