We spent most of July at this cozy little cabin and we loved it. Excellent, thoughtful communication from the host. Beautiful, quiet wooded property with a big sunny lawn and a great firepit. Neighbors are barely visible through the trees, felt quite secluded. Very functional kitchen, plus a grill and covered dining area outside. Great porch for coffee and a book, and watching birds and deer and the cute native squirrels. Excellent place to escape the unmasked hordes. Bonus: it’s a short drive from Whidbey Pie at Greenbank Farms, which makes the best pies I’ve ever had. The little beach a short drive down the road is nice for sunsets (and comet viewing, currently). Pretty much perfect.
Only thing to plan for is that the loft staircase is very narrow and steep. I’m overweight and I could not realistically get up there. My partner, who is a pretty average-size guy, could get up and down but not comfortably. Awesome for kids and smaller folks, though, and we were happy sleeping downstairs.
Thanks for a great July!
