「This is a new hotel and everything was clean and neat. We had some trouble at check-in due to problems with the reservation and payment from Expedia. Not sure if it was a computer communication problem. The manager was able to straighten it out and the rest of our stay was fine.」

「When entering the room, the smell of mold was very strong. The bathroom floor was wet and the ceiling had black mold on it. The bathroom fan did not work and the sheets felt damp. The breakfast that was offered was fine other than the coffee which was almost like water. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful.」

「The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!」

「The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in (except my own). The property is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are spacious, especially the bathrooms. They recommended a wonderful restaurant just steps from the back door. There are elevators which were not mentioned in the expedia description.
